Dear Dr / Nutritionist, I am (age 45 male) being treated for dyspepsia since 2019 by an Gastroenterologist. However the issue of bloating, constipation , dizziness remains unresolved. Can I consume amla juice every morning? If yes then how much qty? Will this drink help to relieve constipation? Can beet root in lunch help to relieve constipation? I was never a heavy coffee drinker but an occasional cup in office or cold coffee I used to enjoy with friends or family. However past year or so, a cappucino or others causes me acidity/hearburn/gas. I now avoid drinking it. I have even reduced milk tea consumption. What can be a reason, is there something I can do.

Since I cannot indulge in active workouts, please tell me what I should do to reduce my fats & weights. I don't eat junk foods, oily foods, eat meals moderately twice a day, don't eat much meat but more veg. I need help.

But in between I had Jaundice and my doctor stopped Glycomet and prescribed tablets, Gibtulio, Mylonerv, Azulix, Volix, Valera and Storvas D for sugar, which I am still taking. My question is how to control sugar and can I take Ayush 82 capsules which are less costly and once I start that should I stop all other sugar tablets?

If we have high blood sugar. Then is it not good to avoid meal and go for fasting . To normalise sugar level. Because anti diabetic drug makes pancreas to release more insulin. Whereas body does not need so high sugar. So is it not better to first skip meal so that sugar becomes normal on its own. Because insulin release by drug stimulation is useless because thee is no requirement of excess sugar by the body. But doctors simply prescribe drug . They do not say that one must try to normalise sugar by reducing food intake. Pl. Clarify ?

Sir my HBA1C is 6.7 in Sep23 ( it was 12.60 in Sep 2022 & came down to 6.80 in Apr 2023 ), FBS is 89 and PP Sugar is 88 (Sep23), am on Glitaray M1 (MN) since past 1 year, i stated to follow very strict diet from Aug23 - eating seasonal fruits in morning between 9 AM to 12 Noon, green salad before lunch n have millets preparation for lunch, same as lunch for dinner, drink Kashaya during the day, not having milk and diary products, oil, sugar, white rice, wheat, maida, fried food, fast food, junk food, outside food, do Brisk walk for 45 mins about 5500 steps in morning and 1500 steps in evening, Yoga in morning for 20 mins followed by Meditation in morning for 20 mins, my question is my HBA1C is not coming down even though my Fasting & PP Glucose have come down to normal level. please help

Ans: The reason for high post-prandial sugar is usually what u have eaten in the meal.

Try and reduce the carbs(roti/rice/bread) and include more protein in the meal.

Also, post meal 15-20min of relaxed walk also helps in managing the post-prandial blood sugars, along with the dietary changes

- Manage stress

In India, we got him Ayurved medicines. His gf is Indian Muslim. So he claimed, he will do Ramazan fasting. We are worried fasting with Ramazan. Can he go through fasting? He has not recd his first salary yet. What can we seniors do , sitting in India? He is 45+.

Ans: - Protein with all meals
- Excercise regularly - cardio + weight training 3times a week
- Drink enough water
- Quality sleep - 7hrs/day
- Shift from Refined oil to Cold-pressed oils or filtered oil
- More home cooked meals
- 1-2 fruit in a day (if no metabolic disorder)
- No caffeine after 3pm
- post meal relaxed walk -15-20min
