I am a 32 year old married woman working in an IT company earning 1.2 lakhs monthly. My husband earns 1.8 lakhs. We stay with in-laws in joint family in Mumbai. My mother-in-law taunts me daily about not having baby even after 4 years of marriage. She says I am career focused and I am not a good wife. My husband says ignore but it's affecting my mental health. Is it wrong to have a career after marriage? Should we move out or I should quit job?
Ans: Hello mam... First of all, I would like to congratulate you to earn a very handsome amount and helping your partner in fulfilling your dreams. I am sure you must be handling household chores along wih your office work also. Overall you are a very hardworking women who is trying to balance both your professional and personal life. But in between all this you are compromising your mental health which is not good.
Let's talk about your mother in law first. She must be of old school views in which people dont accept daughter who works professionally and earns almost around their husband's salary. Just coz they were not allowed to work, they have set their mind like this only. They will always criticize you on not priotising your personal life. And in this, if your husband is with you and he is telling you to ignore the things, i think you should do this. Try to ignore negative talks of your in laws and focus on your professional and personal life.
Now the third topic is to plan a baby. This is strictly a couple's decision. Only you both should decide when are you ready for this responsibility. Coz after all you both have to handle the baby.
Just calm yourself, take a break and go for a holiday. You ll be relaxed and then come back with full confidence.
Take care!

Relationship
My husband doesn't want to be with me. We are married for 7 years, and have a 3 year old daughter. He says we are not compatible and he wants to file for a divorce. I sacrificed my career for him and now he is in a relationship with a female colleague who is attractive and earns well. He says I don't take care of myself so he doesn't feel attracted to be with me. I don't know how to handle this situation.
Ans: Hello mam..Well being married for such a long time, both the partners start to take each other for granted. And female partners in any relationship who have sacrificed their career for their homes and kids feel the things more. I understand that you are taking care of each and everything at home. You must be handling your duties very well that's why your husband is doing well in his professional life. Moreover when you are educated and not doing any job and not earning, gradually your self esteem gets low. Working and being financially independent is compulsory these days.

Your kid is 3 and will start going to school in the next session. Plan some activity for yourself. In this way you will be more groomed and financially independent also.

Now coming to the extra marital affair of your husband. This things needs to be sorted out between you both only. Avoid involvement of families of any side otherwise it will be a filthy game. Try to talk to your husband regarding the future of your kid.
But if it is not getting sorted and he still wants to file for a divorce then inform families of both sides. Let them intervene and get informed about the affair he is having.

For the time being you just try to concentrate on you. Try to take care of yourself. Self grooming is very important, not only to attract your partner but also for boosting your self esteem.
I hope your problem will be solved asap.
Take care !

Relationship
My partner and I have lived together for three years, and we really love each other. She is 36, I am 37. But our different ideas about money are causing huge fights all the time. For example, I like to save, and she likes to splurge, and it's making us both stressed about our future. How can we deal with these money fights without letting it ruin our relationship? I grew up in a middle class family, while her parents are privileged. She thinks I nag too much about money that's why I am unhappy. Can't we find a way to agree that works for both of us? Or is this just a sign that we're too different and can't get along?
Ans: Hello sir..
As a relationship coach, I'd say that differences in spending habits are common in marriages, and it's not uncommon for partners to have varying priorities when it comes to money. The key is to find a balance that works for both partners.

*Defining Financial Goals:*

1. *Short-term goals*: Identify what you both want to achieve in the short term, such as paying off debt, building an emergency fund, or saving for a vacation.
2. *Long-term goals*: Discuss your long-term goals, such as buying a home, retirement planning, or funding your children's education.

*Creating a Budget:*

1. *Track expenses*: Start by tracking your expenses to understand where your money is going.
2. *Categorize expenses*: Divide your expenses into needs (housing, food, utilities) and wants (dining out, entertainment).
3. *Set priorities*: Prioritize your spending based on your shared goals and values.

*Tips for Effective Communication:*

1. *Avoid blame*: Focus on finding solutions rather than placing blame for overspending.
2. *Use "I" statements*: Express your concerns using "I" statements, such as "I feel anxious about our savings" instead of "You always spend too much."
3. *Listen actively*: Make an effort to understand each other's perspectives and values.

Take care..

Relationship
I am (35) married for 4 years (wife 31) and it was an arranged marriage. During our conversations before the marriage that she told me she had a boyfriend and she broke up with her ex bf as he cheated on her. I was never in a relationship all my life till I started talking to my current wife in the year 2020. We only met in person after speaking to each other for more than 9 months via video and audio calls as both of us were living in different countries. After our marriage in 2021 we now have a 2 year old kid. A year ago, I found out that I was her 6th or 7th relationship. She also had physical relationships with several guys during her university days in Udupi, Manipal. She was also in a live in relationship in Udupi for almost a year with her boyfriend during her final year. After her graduation she moved to another country where she was again in an emotional and physical relationship with a different guy. After knowing all this I feel traumatized. I don't have any feelings for her as of now. I just do not care about her existence anymore. I am only worried about the future of my child. The most horrible part is that we still live together under the same roof. Our parents are in India and we reside in US. I really do not know how to proceed. The only good value that I see in her is that she is a good mom to our child. She has a good rapport with my parents and they like her a lot. My parents often suggests my younger sister to consider her as a model. These reasons prevent me from filing for a divorce. My wife does not have an income and if I proceed with a divorce she will have no means to stay here and will have to relocate to India. Most probably Custody of child will be with her and I will not be able to survive a day without my child beside me. I am just trapped in this traumatic, unproductive marriage of mine and it prevents me from accomplishing my goals. I work late hours and try not to be at home just to avoid seeing her. Trying to avoid physical relationship as well. I feel it disgusting these days. Is there a way out?
Ans: Hello sir. Well, this is actually a very complex situation. Knowing all this about your partner and still living with her could feel frustrated and trapped. Filing divorce could make this relationship even more complex. For your daughter, as you told that she is a good mother and daughter in law. You should take a pause and rethink about it. Take some time with yourself and try to forgive your wife. You ll feel more peace and eventually you ll be good.
Take care!

Relationship
I've been facing a recurring issue in my marriage that's beginning to affect both my peace of mind and our trust. Whenever I go out with friends especially if we're having drinks my wife constantly calls or messages to check on my whereabouts. Even though I always tell her the truth about where I am, who I'm with, and when I'll be back, she still seems suspicious and uneasy. For instance, just last week I was out with two of my old college friends at a restaurant, and she called me multiple times within two hours, asking if I was really with them and when I planned to return. I could sense from her tone that she didn't fully believe me, even though I wasn't doing anything wrong. This has happened several times before, and every time I try to explain, she either changes the topic or says, "You men always hide something." I understand the importance of transparency in a relationship, and I've always tried to be honest with her. But I'm beginning to feel like I'm being micromanaged or doubted for no reason. It's not just about a night out - it's about trust and space. I'm worried that her insecurity might lead to bigger trust issues down the line. How should I deal?
Ans: Hello sir. I understand your situation. This is a serious issue that your wife is not trusting you or she has some suspicion towards you. Well, just review weather was there any reason to be suspicious? Not now may be in past? And if not so then ask your wife directly that what has caused these changes in her nature? May be she has a friend who is going through the same trust issues and due to which she is also being suspicious. You have to find out that very patiently. Once you ll know the reason things will be easier and will get sorted out. I hope this helps
Take care

Relationship
My husband and I met in college. We dated for 6 years and got married in 2018. In covid after his parents moved in, we started having arguments. Since we had nowhere to go, arguments turned to fights and we couldn't even sleep in separate rooms. After his parents left, we became distant. Our relationship became toxic with constant fights, blame game and emotional manipulation. I finally walked away to my parents place, thinking I'd feel free. Instead, I'm crying every night. Did I make a mistake, or is this normal post-breakup grief?
Ans: Hello mam..Well, firstly just be calm. Take some deep breaths and feel the positive energy inside you. I would like you to write one positive things or one good moment which you remember from each one year of your dating. So six good moments for six good years. After that the good moments for the years you were together after marriage.
After that the negative things that happened to you and then compare the points. Do you really feel that you want to break up with him. No, you ll feel the difference. Love is not leaving your partner after some fights or conflicts. It is all about making your relationship stronger after each conflict.
Parents are part of us , weather they are his or yours. You can't ignore or leave them. You have to live with them and should learn the good things from them. Your parents must have also fought a lot of times but they must never thought to leave each other. We should accept each other with flaws. You should initiate the talks and should try to patch the things up. I hope this works..
Take care !

Relationship
I am male married since 2013 , I was working full time and had good career for 10 yrs, I absolutely did not had any physical or mental health issues before marriage and was working full time as IT professional. After marriage from begning I had conflicts and disputes with inlaws. They were keeping too many expectations from My Wife and were doing lot of interference and trying to control My Wife and our married life. They were not allowing us to live our married life independently. There is no issues or conflicts between Me and My Wife and she is living with Me by her own will , but My Wife is mentally and physically weak so she does not handle inlaws and is unable to set the boundries with them after marriage. My in laws are immoral, highly manipulative and controlling people, on face they show and act as if they are very matured people and gentleman but behind they do all sort of negative and immoral activties. They also practice black magic and do all sorts of immoral activities to control My Wife and harm Me. After 5 yrs of marriage , I am suffering from rare, severe and complex Neurological disease since 2019 , I am like bed bound, and having difficulty in talking, sitting upright for long time. I am not able to work due to My severe health condition since 5 yrs now. Taking advantage of My severe, rare and long term health condition , My in laws are defaming Me and spreading rumors about Me to the neighbours, relatives and wherever I go by tracking My activities. They are telling that I am mentally unstable and have had physcological / mental issues from begning of marriage and they are trying to earn fake soft corner of thier daugther in front of people saying that our daughter is caught in this toxic marriage and her life is getting spoilt due to this marriage. They are also tracking each and every activity of Mine by hacking my mobile and creating severe obstacles by defaming Me and spreading rumors about Me They are trying to block My medical treatment by misguiding the Doctors and also blocking anyone who is helping Me ? They are forcing Me indirectly to convience My Wife and take mutual divorce and also demanding Money one time Amount from Me. --------------------------------------- How can I deal with such situation ? Considering I am bedbound and My health condition is severe , I am not in position to take legal action against them What can I do to stop this defamation and turning people against Me ? What can I do about tracking of all My activities through hacking of My mobile ?
Ans: Hello sir.
I am sorry to hear the situation of yours. I would suggest you to keep your wife in confidence so that your in laws can't reach your doctor and you can take your proper treatment. Secondly dont take stress of defamation. People around you know you. Now just concentrate on your health so that you can recover from it and join your job again.
Take care!

Relationship
I never had the courage to share this with anyone, but after watching a lot of recent movies, I feel I must share this with someone. I've been married to my wonderful wife for 8 years. We have two young kids, 6 and 4. A few years ago, I had a one-time affair with a colleague during an office offsite. It was an emotionally charged moment, but the affair was a brief one. I got a bit too carried away. It's been 2 years and 3 months. We work in the same office, and I'm overwhelmed with guilt. I haven't told anyone. She is single, and we go out on casual dates, even harmless flirting, but never discussing the event. She asked me if I would ever confess this to my wife. I said No, because she is very close to my family now. I'm scared of losing my family, but at the same time, I feel like a fraud every day. This guilt is not letting me sleep. But if I confess, I don't know how my wife will respond. Things may not go back to normal. Isn't it better to silently carry the guilt? Please suggest what to do.
Ans: Hello sir.. carrying guilt within you is such a big burden that slowly and slowly your mind will be full of it and you may start thinking more of that moment. There are two options either you completely forget it and move ahead or the second option is that you take your wife out to some good place and then confess this. Accept it that it was a mistake and you are actually sorry about it. This will have two benefits. One that colleague will never had a chance to blackmail you and secondly your wife will start trusting you more and you will live a guilt free life. You will be more happy.
Just try to convince your wife that now i am not involved in anything otherwise i wouldn't have tell you. I hope you will make the right choice.
Take care!

Relationship
Hello gurus.. I have a friend who has been married for 10 years and with 2 kids one 8 yr old daughter and a two year old son. His wife whom he loved and trusted so much had cheated on him with one of her friends for almost 3 years which he came to know about last year. Though he could not digest that and thought of divorcing her but thinking about his children's future he changed his mind and told her to end all communication with him in order to save this marriage .She too had agreed . He hadn't told about this to anyone except me including her parents whom he respected a lot and hence didn't want to hurt them ... But after 3 months he came to know that she was still in contact with her friend using another phone without his knowledge and her affair also had not stopped . This time he couldn't tolerate and told this to her parents and told them that he would be filing for divorce. Her parents literally begged with him not to do so and requested him to give one last chance as they would mend her this time . He told them that even after giving her a chance to mend herself she has cheated again and broken his trust and that he couldn't live with her without trust . So he had decided to move on but his wife and her mother threatened him that they will have no other choice but to commit suicide if he doesnt forgive his wife. He was also worried about his children's future without their mother .. Based on some elders and friends (including mine )advice he gave her one last chance but on condition that there should not be any communication with her affair partner in future and if he comes to know about them being in any kind of contact he would be filing for divorce . His wife and her parents agreed to this and he took her back though not wholeheartedly but due to circumstances. Though they lived under one roof they did not live a harmonious life and lived like strangers and there used to be quarrels very frequently between them . This sometimes had gone physical and on many occasions his wife had threatened him with suicide... And in March this year he came to know that she was in contact with her affair partner secretly using another phone. When confronted she told they were just talking and nothing else...Though there may not be any physical contact this time my friend is very upset and adamant that he wouldn't live with her and want a mutual divorce ...His wife is not agreeing for it and threatening that she would write his name and end her life if he goes for a contested divorce. My friend is too worried about the legal complications if such a thing happens . He is also concerned about his kids especially his daughters future if he goes for a contested divorce based on adultery , the impact it would have on his daughter s future ..He doesn't want to spoil his daughters future ..At the same time he says he cannot imagine living with his wife again after being cheated on twice... Kindly advice what should I advise him ...
Ans: Hello sir. I understand the situation. The prime thing in this is that your friend should go directly to police station and should file a report that if anything of this sort happens, including harm to his in laws or wife then he will not be responsible and that they are regularly threatening him. This will make your friend legally safe and then he can take a mutual divorce if he wants telling his wife and in laws that he has already filed a complaint.
This is the primary step. Once done you can message again.

Relationship
I am in a relationship with a girl since 2 years, we have a lot of differences like, she is more than 3 years older than me, our castes are different and she is marathi and I am non marathi. But apart from all this she has just got divorced from court legally, till now she was living separately from his ex husband. She had a affair for about 10 years with her ex but they started living separately just after 8 months of marriage. When I met this girl, we both fell in love, but there were 2-3 mistakes from my side during the first year of our relationship. I lied on small things thinking she will get hurt if she knows that. I haven't cheated, not even talked personal things with any other girl. And for the last one year i have been as honest as anyone can be. But I feel she is not like she used to be. I don't know if I can even call this a relationship anymore. Since we are colleagues we talk in office, we go out for dinner, we still talk lot of personal things too, but that spark is not there. I wanted to marry this girl once. What should I do now?
Ans: Hello sir. Sir, since relationships are very sensitive and the decision to marry someone is an important decision which should be taken with lot of patience so that you don't regret it later. And the thing which you said that she has changed, she may have changed due to your lies. I appreciate that now you are honest with her. Spark needs to be created. It will not remain without effort. If she is sincere with you and you are loyal with her and you both feel that you can spend life together, you should go ahead. Nobody remains the same through out the life. Changes always come. Sit patiently with your friend and discuss the options and see work out if you both want to get married. Then take a decision. I hope this solves your problem.
Take care!
