Sir, is it good to get into IIT Tirupathi for CSE or BITS Goa ECE ?
Ans: Some factors to consider before you decide out of these 2 Institutes (1) ECE is slightly tougher than CSE (2) Number of Recruiters / Companies visiting for Campus Recruitment will be lesser compared to CSE (3) Some IT Companies prefer even ECE Students during Campus Recruitment (3) Fees is much on higher side in BITS. Around 35.00 Lacs you will have to spend, whereas IIT-T is much affordable. (4) Your Interest: CSE or ECE?. Think for 5-minutes over these factors. You will be able to decide the better and more suitable one for you. All The BEST for your Bright Future. Hello My daughter is doing class 6 in kendriya vidyalaya central government school ...she is getting 85 to 90 percentage as of now ..is this enough to compete with other private student after class 12.. Or I have to change school for better exposure.
Ans: 6th standard is too early to decide on this. Also, changing school is not the only solution to increase her score / performance or for better exposure. Also please avoid using the term 'competition' to a 6th standard child nor should you apply any pressure on her to score above 95%. Just focus on her weak subjects (for example, Maths or Science). If affordable, arrange for female home tutor for 45-minutes to improve her performance further in Maths / Science. Just before she finishes her 8th, you can think over changing the school or putting her in Integrated Schools for Entrance exams like JEE, NEET etc. However, make sure the schools is nearby and the travel time is less than 30-minutes. Extra-curricular activities of her interest help in overcoming her academic stress. All The BEST for your Daughter's Bright Future. Hello sir. My brother is getting ocean engineering at IIT Madras, Civil at IIT Indore and CS at RVCE. Which would be the right choice.
Ans: Please note, here the 2 questions are (1) Your brother prefers IIT over Stream or Stream over IIT (2) He wants IIT's Stamp on his Certificate irrespective of whether he is interested or not for the stream offered by IIT and / or whether the stream has any scope or not? Please ask your brother this question & decide accordingly, if he is confident over the Stream he chooses. Also you please AVOID forcing him to join which you prefer. (3) Ask his order of preference as far as streams (Civil, CS or Ocean Engineering) are concerned. I suggest to consider one among 2-choices (out of 3) i.e. IIT-M (Ocean) or RVCE (CS). All the BEST for your Brother's Bright Future.

Namaskar, My daughter is 21 Years old now and had done 12th (Medical) in 2021 and attempted for NEET in 2021 and 2022, but not got selected. Now she wants to study in USA only (no other country) and want to do some graduation in psychology there. We have tried to make her about our financials and suggested to do graduation from India and then go for post graduation from USA. But she is not ready. Now she is at home only and doing nothing, not learning anything since 2021-22. Always just talking to her friends who are also doing nothing but they are married but have their life set. We have applied for US visa once but got rejected in visa interview. Now she is just waiting for Jun-24 to reapply. Please guide. Thanks
Ans: Hello Sunil,

To begin with, thank you for contacting us. I am happy to hear that your daughter completed her 12th in 2021 and now intends studying in the USA only. To answer your question first, I would like to tell you that your daughter’s desire to study in the USA is understandable, nevertheless, it is also crucial to take into account practical and monetary considerations. Given, your daughter is determined to study in the USA, I would suggest that you look into scholarships or other forms of monetary assistance to help alleviate the cost. I would like to let you know that in the USA, community colleges frequently charger lower tuition fees, and transferring to a university after two years may be more cost-effective. Moreover, your daughter might begin by strengthening her profile with pertinent activities or online psychology courses, which can in turn, boost her visa application and increase her chances of receiving scholarships.

Meanwhile, I would recommend that you motivate her to participate in activities that will help her improve her abilities and resume viz., volunteering work, internships, or part-time jobs in associated fields. This not only keeps her busy but also strengthens her application for both, visas and universities. Your daughter could increase her chances of being accepted if she reapplies for the visa in June 2024 with a more polished profile and a thoroughly thought-out application. Lastly, I would suggest that you have an open and encouraging discussion with your daughter, balancing her objectives with useful guidance on different routes to attain her objectives.

Actually, I am 32 year male, unmarried and currently working in an Education Sector as a Content Manager/ Subject Matter Expert from the past 4 years. And, I did my BE in the year 2014 and since then I was preparing for UPSC civil services and even appeared in the interview but unfortunately didn’t tasted the success and join this industry on this basis. Whereas, I am got stagnated here and not getting much in term of salary or career growth and looking forward for doing MBA to switch my career field to analytics/Finance. I did Master in Public Administration in distance mode while I was preparing because this was my optional. Previous month, I took admission in Executive MBA from IIT Patna but unfortunately, its substandard in terms of quality and learning. I have certain doubts, Please let me help to come to the conculsion. Shall I go with the Full time MBA at 32 age by giving CAT/GMAT? Shall I opt for executive MBA from IIMs like Indore, Kashipur etc, here I have concern related to placements, considering 12 Lakh Fee? Shall I do 1 year full time PGP at IIM Indore, ISB or any good institutions for the change? Or shall I opt for CFA/FRM along with my IIT Patna Executive MBA? I am way behind my collogues and even not settled due to my UPSC unsuccessful attempts, I need to switch the filed. Please revert and help me out tin clearing my dilemma, I am really very confused right now.,
Ans: It is advisable to write GMAT and try to do Executive MBA from one of the good IIMs or XLRI. These colleges do have good placements and it could help your career. Usual requirement for these courses is minimum 5 years of work experience
