I passed MD in 2023 i did senior residency for 5 months then due to family reasons i discontinued and started doing a private job in small 30 bedded hospital light job less emergency calls and 10 min drive . Now iam offered senior residency in a medical college which is far away 40 min drive form city. Should i finish my sr ship which is going to be very very hectic or should i not? and continue working in private (there is no monetary benifit both jobs are paying me same ). Which is better in future
Ans: Interesting question Dr. being a Doctor of Medicine, you are a specialist, but as you state theres a family reason, that made you discontinue your senior residency with in 5 month's.

Now let's understand the current situation you are in a comfortable situation and the family situation seems settled .

I see you are now offered Senior Residency which you can complete being a Senior Resident in not exceeding 3 years, which you can certainly complete it anytime, peacefully before completing 45 year's.

Now the conclusion it absolutely does not make sense taking the high pressure & hectic assignment for no monetary benefits.!? for the profits of the medical college.. Absolutely NO!

The future is peace of mind, I say this with great confidence of high pressure situations.. Life is longevity of living it well, minus the stress

Your time will come ...settle down my boy settle down..

Here's the Lyrics ..

Settle down, an eat your peas and gravy, my boy
Settle down, settle down my boy settle down
Stop wasting all your time with running around the town
Settle down, settle down my boy settle down
Knuckle down and find a job and take some responsibility
Settle down, settle down my boy settle down
The future's something you should be thinking about
Settle down, settle down my boy settle down
Look around for a wife to start a family, my boy
Settle down, settle down my boy settle down
Listen toy our father and he'll tell you the same as me
Settle down, settle down my boy settle down
Your words would go in one ear and out the other side
Don't say my head was empty and I had things to hide
And you better put something away for your old age
So settle down, settle down my boy settle down
Settle down, settle down my boy settle down uh huh huh

I want career guidance for my son studying in 10th grade in CBSE pattern. He usually secures 85% overall. He stays confused in which stream to choose further. He usually gets good marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. He has an introvert personality. He likes playing xbox and cricket and also pursing Keyboard music classes under Trinity Music school certification program. He follows US youtube channels like Dude perfect, Mr.Beast etc and likes exploring latest tech gadgets or mobile apps or mobile features etc. He sometimes like watching Shark tank India episodes etc, but he can't understand the business discussion part. Please suggest which career stream which will suit him well. Thanks.
Ans: I have read your personal evaluation of your son as a doting parent.
I can only advice based on the observations made by you.

In these situations these are called reactive counselling which will not be accurate simply because I haven't heard from the incumbent.
The child is talented and has a creative mind too with the music school certification too!
The mind is experimental looking for new creative challenges.

The career stream should be based on the candidates acumen and aptitude.
Prima facie you have knocked out business and commerce based on your statement can't understand business ...!

Synopsis:gets good marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry

So science stream is suggested, however need to meet candidate for professional career counselling.

All the best in the most important decision!

Sir, .I have worked for 5.5 years in my last company but my HR says that I will receive gratuity for 5 years. For those who have worked for 4.5 years, they give it for 5 years but in cases like mine, they reduce it. Also, they have deducted 30 days of my EL w/o giving any logical reasoning saying they do it for all. Pls guide what should I do.
Ans: I have give you a brief explanation about how gratuity is calculated.
Sure this will assist you in understanding the methodologies.

The amount of gratuity for employees whose employer is covered under the Gratuity Act can be calculated using the formula:
Gratuity = n*b*15 / 26

Where n = Tenure of service completed in the company
b = Last drawn basic salary + dearness allowance

For example, you have worked with the XYZ company for a period of 15 years. Your last drawn basic salary along with dearness allowance was Rs 30,000. Hence:

The amount of gratuity = 15 * 30,000 * 15 / 26 = Rs 2,59,615

Two points must be noted here:

As per the Gratuity Act, the amount of gratuity cannot be more than Rs 20 lakh. Any excesses would be treated as ex-gratia.

If the number of years you have worked in the last year of employment is more than six months, then it will be rounded to the nearest figure. Suppose your tenure of service is 16 years 7 months, then you receive the gratuity for 17 years. Otherwise, its for 16 years if it happens to be 16 years 4 months.
In your case 5 years 5 months hence 5 year's as you are below the half yearly for upper round up.

For employees whose employer is not covered under the Gratuity Act, the gratuity amount would be calculated as per the half-month salary on each completed year of service.
The formula is: (15 * Your last drawn salary * the working tenure) / 30.

For example, you have a basic salary of Rs 30,000. You have rendered continuous service of 7 years and the employer is not covered under the Gratuity Act.

Gratuity Amount = (15 * 30,000 * 7) / 30 = Rs 1,05,000.

In regard to your leave, please get a clarification from your HR, as to why they have deducted 30 days of earned leave.

Sir, my daughter is 14 years old, brilliant, sharp mind and has a good educational background but now she is trapped in an affair. As a parent, we had tried to dig out the matter but she has not disclosed it and hiding everything. Please suggest what we have to do so her mind can change & she can come back on the right track and focus on her SSC study. We are facing lots of stress due to such a matter.
Ans: I understand what you are going through, an affair below the legal age, needs to be carefully understood.

It's important to find out the other person in the relationship with discretion ,as you say she's hiding everything, but actually it's hidden from you. Slowly and steadily find her friend's keep a close watch on the situation! Don't take it lightly and let it manifest.

She's looking for love and affection outside at a very impressionable age, is there a situation in the house that's causing it.

I understand the stress you are going through but don't panic, handle the situation with maturity.

It's important to involve other stake holder's in this relationship, is the other partner an adult or a juvenile too!?

Once you know what's the truth, you will be able to solve the problem yourself or with proper professional help... Don't hesitate to approach the school counselor.. Remember handle the girl child with love, don't admonish her tackle the situation with tact and guile with lots of love.

Is it possible to move the girl out of the city to a different place... Start it like a surprise holiday..keep it an absolute surprise.. to prevent itinerary leak..! See if you can do it with a clear action plan!

If the other partner in the affair is an adult, its a POSCO non-bailable offence....... must and should approach the VANITA SAHYA VANI they are a women's welfare wing in every city's Police Commissioner Office. .

Finally.. remember it's you and the child.. Play videos, show photos how she was born & brought up.. Relive every day every moment.. Melt her down.. Win back her confidence.. It's your child.. Get her back.. Love Respect Confidence.. You will get her back!

As he started going to school, i joined painting classes, i went to classes from 2011 to 2020, i just went to engage myself to these classes which i enjoyed...After 2 yrs of covid, i went back to tbe same painitng class, but this time i felt the tutor was irritated with me and didnt teach me properly and hence i looked out for other painting classes. I went to another place, where they charged more money and stopped going there...I again went to a third place, here the tutors are excellent, here what i realised was that all the past 10 years where i went for painting class was nothing compared to the new place where am going...I have lost confidence and i think am no where compared to the new tutors..I have lost hopes in life and again gone into depression..how do i come out of this depression...i like to teach painitng, but i dont have the confidence to teach too as i compare myself with other teachers and feel i should start learning painting again from scratch...plz help, what should I do next...
