My son got a waiting list of 221 after ten rounds of IIST admissions 2025. He is expecting ECE, can he get. His overall rank in iist is 626.

Ans: It is unlikely that your son will get ECE at IIST with a waiting list rank of 221 after ten rounds, especially if he is expecting ECE, as it is a popular and competitive branch. While there's a chance in later rounds, especially if there are cancellations, it's not guaranteed.

My son has got a rank of 47529 in wbjee 2025. Can he expect to get ece in Haldia institute of technology?
Ans: With a WBJEE rank of 47,529, admission to the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) branch at Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) is highly unlikely, as the expected closing rank for ECE at HIT is usually below 10,000, with typical cutoffs for competitive branches like ECE around 6,000 to 7,000. However, your rank may allow admission in other branches at HIT or in government and private colleges that accept ranks above 40,000. Alternative colleges to consider include Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, Ramkrishna Mahato Government Engineering College, Cooch Behar Government Engineering College, Kalyani Government Engineering College, Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM) Kolkata, Heritage Institute of Technology, Techno India Salt Lake, Netaji Subhas Engineering College, Aliah University, and Asansol Engineering College, which have closing ranks extending beyond 40,000 and offer decent engineering programs. Most mid-tier government colleges and several private colleges provide opportunities for students with ranks above 40,000. The recommendation is to apply widely during counseling, include private colleges with excellent infrastructure as backup, and consider less competitive branches at HIT or other government colleges to secure admission based on your rank. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!
