I assume your son is not enrolled in any foundation program for the IIT Entrance Exam. He must enroll in good training institute, for a 2 year program. Please ensure the coaching is good, not some kind of franchisee taken by some local person. rest they will take care of. By 11th end his 70% syllabus must be over, means He starts in April 2026, then in Apr-May 2027 his 70% syllabus must have been completed.

My son will be appearing for JEE Main & JEE Advanced 2026 and will participate in JoSAA Counselling 2026. I request clarification regarding the GEN-EWS certificate date requirement for next year.
I have already applied for an EWS certificate for current year 2025, and the application is under process. However, I am unsure whether this certificate will be accepted during JoSAA 2026, or whether candidates will be required to submit a fresh certificate for FY 2026–27 (issued on or after 1 April 2026).
My concern is that if JoSAA requires a certificate issued after 1 April 2026, students will have only 1–1.5 months to complete the entire procedure, which is difficult considering normal government processing timelines.
Also, during current JEE form filling, students are asked to upload a GEN-EWS certificate issued on or after 1 April 2025, or an application acknowledgement. This has created confusion among parents regarding which year’s certificate will finally be valid at the time of counselling.
I request your kind guidance on:
Which GEN-EWS certificate will be accepted for JoSAA Counselling 2026 —
a certificate for FY 2025–26 (issued after 1 April 2025), or a new certificate for FY 2026–27 (issued after 1 April 2026)?

You need not worry about the EWS certificate. Even if you apply for the next year's certificate on 1 Apr 2026, the second session of JEE MAINS will still be held, followed by JEE ADVANCED, which will be held in May. JOSAA starts in June. so you will have 2 months in hand for fresh EWS certificate.

I passed class 12th CBSE in the 2024–25 session with 65%. I wanted to prepare for JEE, but I missed the date for improvement. Now in November, I have only one option left — to fill the NIOS form and appear for the exam in October 2026–27. But am I eligible for JEE 2027 if I score above 75% in NIOS 12th? I am having a dilemma to choose between CSE dual Degree in IIITDM kancheepuram and CSE btech in IIIT SRI CITY , placements are very good in IIIT SRI CITY whereas IIITDM kancheepuram placements are average, my only problem is I would have to take 8-10 lakhs education loan if I choose IIIT SRI CITY(PPP MODEL) , whereas for IIIT KANCHEEPURAM, my parents can afford the whole fees , but I am also concerned whether IIITDM KANCHEEPURAM is not made for CSE specialisations and it is rather suitable for students looking for ECE/MECH due to DM suffix , please help me make a wise decision, apart from fees , placements are also top priority, and lastly , does a dual degree yield better placements in IIITDM KANCHEEPURAM. ?

i personally recommend that its better not to go for a dual degree, it has its limitation. SRICITY is way better than KANCHEEPURAM.
DUAL Degree placements are not as good as B.Tech

Hello Sir, My Son is applying for JEE Mains 2026. My name in his Board marks sheet issued by Board has G Santosh Kumar whereas My name in the aadhar card of my son has G Santhosh Kumar

Sir, I am from Tripura. I made my state OBC in 4/2024 and central OBC in 6/2024 and with the central OBC and parents income certificate I made my OBC ncl in 4/2025 as per the format given by jee adv this year but I can't see anything like catagory certificate number or ID in my NCL. Yes there's a catagory no in my state OBC certificate starting with OBCS/XXXX/XXXXX and in my central OBC the no is OBCC/XXXX/XXXXX but there nothing like that in my NCL , there is something a 4 digit number only written in my NCL under which the date of issuing is written. Now NTA wants OBC ncl number with also after 1/4/2025 what number should I fill? Can you help me by collecting the proper and exact information regarding it , I would be very grateful to you.

Hii everyone i attempted neet in 2024 i couldn't clear but the thing is I didn't really do coaching for it so I took a drop and joined pw offline coaching but still didn't clear neet , in my 10th i did cbse and scored 86 percentage in 12th I scored 73.2 percentage in cbse I didn't think it will matter also because I was sure to clear neet , now I joined engineering college btech cse ai and ds I'm scared now if I will meet the eligibility criteria for companies cause like my roomates and many ppl I know too state and scored like 94 percentage in 10th so I'm really scared for life now someone pls help also I'm in hostel so it's more scary without parents

Sir my nephew.got on CRL basis.(Special rounds in NIT PATNA. But he wanting to pursue in CS.in engineering.is it better to upgrade.or keep sliding fr one such competitive NIT in Gujarat or NIT Nagpur.(His Jee mains above 94(ranking was under 18000.(Eighteen thousand/. (SC reserved category.he falls under,should he freeze the seat ad upgrade for course within same NIT Patna or float fr another round.(E.g like fr Bits Goa or Mesra or NIT Gujarat).thk you sir kindly.he is Home state is Maharashtra domicile)
