My son is some were addicted towards free fire and plays atleast for 9 hrs. we got admission in MIT WPU in cyber safety is it possible for him to concentrate in studies. And what should we take as parents

Ans: He got admission not bought admission did he.. So the guy's good in academics.

Now understand that the boy is recuperating from may some long study hour's.. Though 9 hour's of gaming in a 24 hour day appears a wee bit exagerataed.. Really!?

However steps can be taken to weed him out of the addiction OR passion!?

Hi Virender Sir, My son is in 12th std and loves computers and coding, he learns all by himself and tries to innovate. But he is not at all focused in studies and hates to study. He understands only marks can get him to good college, but does not have the mind to study. Should i take him to phycologist. What is your suggestion to make him study

Ans: Hi George, You need to explain to him that formal education is a must and coding could just be a hobby and will not get him any worth while job. For example you may be a good actor but people like Anupam kher and Manoj Bajpai too went to National school of Drams -NSD to learn the craft and get some formal training. In films you can still manage but in engineering and management you cannot do without formal education. If you know any education counselor you can seek help or some one senior in the industry. Psychologist will further confuse and complicate the issue i feel.

Hi Ma'm I have a son studying in Class 9th except school he was not interest in books he alway want to play that too max time on Mobiles. We are trying to avoid him with mobile. if mobile is not available he is busy with TV, if any scold on him he will leave home and go for play with his friends at ground but he is not showing any interest on studying. can you suggest how to handle this situation Hari Krishna Visakhapatnam (AP)

Ans: When you want him to Stop using mobile or screen,try to first give him equally reinforcing activities or situations where he is more engaged productively. It should not be necessarily academic related things initially. He can take care of daily household chores or some responsibilities which are helping him to be engaged. Appreciate his efforts incase you see him doing that. Some time we need to change our ways of dealing with situation to get them do what you want. You can take him with you for buying things like grocery , in short you can involve him in daily activities ,games etc.
Increase his focus on activities etc and then gradually set his academic goals clear.

My son is studying in class 10th in reputed public school .He is sharp in studies but spends more time playing computer games.No doubt he attends school and tuitions regularly but otherwise more interested in computer applications/games & solving computer /mobile related problems.Can he attend any computer course to boost his career and & utilise time while using computer in extra time alongwith studies

Requesting you not to panic at this early stage. Let her appear for JEE session 2 and the state-level engineering entrance test. Let all the results out. You have ample time to think about the available options for engineering admission. At this stage, no need to think about management quota unless and until you want a particular branch in a particular college. Depending on her score in upcoming exams, she may get admission to reputed engineering either in Pune or Bengaluru

Ans: Assuming STCG is from Shares on which STT is paid and sold after 23 Jul 2024, your tax liability for FY 2024-25 shall be around Rs.21300
