We dated for around 1.5 months and after that he brokeup with me ... And that was something that I never expected as he was my first boyfriend. It was really hard to get a controll over me. But the rediffgurus really helped me ... But even after 8 months i just can't stop thinking of him or making scenarios. But the situation is better than before. So after 4 days his birthday is coming and I am in dilemma whether I should wish him or not because I don't want to start things up .. just wanna normally wish but at the same time should i or not ... So that it doesn't create misunderstandings on other side . As its been days that i have been thinking about this... so what should i do

I can understand your dilemma. While your intentions might be pure, I would still suggest you not contact him. Since he has left, let him be in the past and try to move forward. Why am I suggesting against it? Well, it sounds very simple; you just want to wish him as a friend. But what if he replies and you realize that you weren't emotionally ready for it? It might distress you or bring back unwanted emotions.

Ultimately, the decision is yours to make but since you are unsure, it might be best to not reach out and stick to the side of caution. Focus on your growth and healing and with time, these feelings will diminish in intensity.

I am sorry to hear about your breakup. It is also common to not be able to move on and go back to each other. It's about the comfort in familiarity. It does take time. But if you are serious about the breakup, you have to follow through. This 'break up and patch up' thing will only end up hurting you more. It always ends with one person moving on in the process and the other being stuck in a relationship that died long back.

You might have great bonding but that is no reason to set yourself up for inevitable pain. Please tread carefully.

Hi, I was in a relationship rather I can say love bonding with a man who is 7yrs elder to me. We both loved each other. It was 2yrs of relationship and it was strong from my side. But we had a religious/spiritual constraints to get married . Elders did not agree to get us married. Finally he left because of this reason and married another girl. I was depressed for 2 yrs then gradually came back to normal. My instincts still tell that he liked me but he never reached out to me after that. It’s been 15yrs and I still think of him even though I’m happily married. There is never a single day I don’t think about him. Recently I texted him casually without bringing the past in our conversation. He was chatting normally , but suddenly he restricted me and stopped texting. He came into my life like a rescue as I was mentally very weak facing family issues. I can never forget him For being with me and for having given me happy days atleast until He was with me. I used to Feel so happy to be with him and talk to him all day. Off late I’m thinking of him all the time and want to see him and talk to Him. I know it’s wrong and not good to disturb his life but why not just 10mins to express how I felt when he left me?? I really miss that I am Not able to spend the rest of my life with him.
