Sir, i had left a company in 2013 without resigning. There was no UAN at that time. Then i joined another company and received UAN number. In 2024 in the epfo portal i linked the epf of the company that i left in 2013 using aadhaar and brought it under my UAN number, but the exit date is blank. All other details are available like date of joining, balance in my account etc. I tried entering the exit date with all the details, but a comment pops up that only the company can enter the exit date as there is no records online. My company will not do it as i had left without informing. I am not working now. I am 54 years old, can i close my epfo account and withdraw the amount in my account, or will i automatically get all the amount on me reaching 58 years. Can i please be guided on how i can withdraw the amount without exit date

Ans: Hello;

The exit date updation is essential before withdrawal.

You may visit the assigned EPFO office with supporting documents and discuss with concerned officers for satisfactory resolution.

Else you may file a grievance with EPFiGMS portal regarding the problem faced by you pertaining to the exit date updation.

You may also approach them on social media, if needed.

Best wishes;

Sir i left my previous company on 19 nov and joined new company of 27 nov now in epfo i have updated the exit date of previous organisation please tell me steps so i can withdraw the whole amount
Ans: To withdraw the entire EPF amount after leaving your previous company, follow these steps:

Login to the Unified Member Portal of EPFO using your UAN (Universal Account Number) and password.

Once logged in, navigate to the 'Online Services' tab and select 'Claim (Form-31, 19 & 10C)' from the dropdown menu.

Verify your bank account details linked with your UAN. Ensure that your Aadhaar details are also seeded with your UAN for authentication.

Next, select the claim you wish to file. Since you left your previous company, you'll need to select 'Form 19 - EPF Final Settlement.'

Fill in the required details such as your personal information, previous employer details, and reason for leaving.

Enter your bank account details where you want the EPF amount to be credited.

Upload any necessary documents such as a cancelled cheque, if required.

Review the details entered and submit the claim.

Once submitted, your claim will be forwarded to your previous employer for verification.

After verification by your previous employer, the EPFO will process your claim and credit the EPF amount to your bank account.

Remember, it may take some time for the claim to be processed, so keep an eye on the status through the EPFO portal. If you face any issues during the process, you can reach out to the EPFO helpline for assistance.

I have resigned from my company. Please advise about how I can withdraw my PF amount. The company from which I resigned has given me an inactive UAN? How do I solve my problem?

Step 2: Check Your PF Balance

1. Login to UAN Member Portal:

• Use your UAN and password to log in.

2. View Passbook:

• Go to the “View Passbook” section to check your PF balance.

Step 3: Update KYC Details

1. Update KYC Information:

• Update your Aadhaar, PAN, Bank details, and other KYC information.
• Ensure your KYC details are verified by your employer.

Step 4: Submit Withdrawal Claim

1. Online Withdrawal:

• Once your KYC details are updated and verified, go to “Online Services” > “Claim (Form-31, 19 & 10C)”.
• Verify your bank account details and click on “Proceed for Online Claim”.
• Select the type of claim you need (full PF settlement, pension withdrawal, etc.).
• Fill in the necessary details and submit the claim.

2. Offline Withdrawal (if Online isn't possible):

• Download Form 19 (for PF withdrawal) and Form 10C (for pension withdrawal) from the EPFO website.
• Fill out the forms and attach necessary documents (Aadhaar, PAN, cancelled cheque, etc.).
• Submit the forms to the regional EPFO office or through your previous employer.

Troubleshooting Inactive UAN Issues

1. Contact EPFO:

• If your UAN is inactive, contact EPFO through their helpline number or email.
• You can also visit the nearest EPFO office for assistance.

2. Employer Assistance:

• Contact your previous employer’s HR department to activate your UAN and update your details.

By following these steps, you should be able to successfully withdraw your PF amount. If you encounter any issues, visiting the EPFO office for direct assistance is a good option.
