My front teeth is broken I fell down from my bike while dog is chasing me . I went to dentist i got broken teeth cemented . dentist advised me not to chew anything with cemented teeth it's a life time instruction. It is very discomfort to me .Is there any treatment such that I can chew even with repaired tooth

Sorry to hear about your fall and the resultant damage to your teeth.
Honestly, it's best to follow your dentist's advice, but I understand your problem. Eating can be a challenge.
Please ask your dentist about sturdier alternatives like dental crowns or bridges. These can provide extra protection and might let you chew more comfortably.

In the meantime, stick to soft foods which do not put pressure on your compromised teeth, or soups. You can also try cutting your food into smaller pieces to reduce pressure on the tooth.

You need to consult a Periodontist (a dentist who specialises in gum problems) or your general dentist. Only after a proper evaluation can the remedy be suggested. But most gum problems are treatable

My son is 7 yeard old. His front tooth (Upper right first) has fallen for the second time since a year ago. What are the options for its permanent solution.

Ans: Milk or Deciduous teeth fall once and are replaced by permanent teeth which are expected to last a lifetime. Permanent teeth do not fall except in case of severe trauma or years of neglect. Kindly consult your dentist to ascertain which teeth have fallen and to know what treatment, if any, is needed.

Sir , I am Chandra Bhanu Panda. I am 53 years old .One of my teeth in the right jaw is shaking. I am feeling pain when eating.I am not giving more pressure on it while taking food. it seems that it may be broken at any time . I do not have any bad habit like chewing tobacco or teeth injury.Please suggest how to fix the issue.

Teeth do break/fracture often at or just below the gum level. When this happens they shake and hurt when you bite on them. But the broken portion may not actually fall out because it could be still attached to the gums.
If this is the case the only solution is to have it extracted and then replaced by a bridge or implant.
The other (more common) reason for teeth shaking or hurting is infection in the tooth itself or in the gums and jawbone surrounding and supporting the tooth. This can usually be reversed with proper treatment.
Your dentist can diagnose the cause and recommend the correct way forward.

Greetings Dr.Shyam First of all thank for your guidance here. My question, I had an accident 20 years ago and my teeth was half broken during that time my dr. Has used some solution to build the remaining part of my teeth, which was absolutely looking good and unbroken. Now after 20 years that solution faded and looks weak and may be broken soon. Is it possible to get the same extension done now using some solution? Or mouldable teeth?

From your description it appears that your dentist built up and restored the damaged part of your tooth with bonded composite restorative material. It's normal for this material to fade, discolour or weaken over the years. The same procedure can be repeated if necessary

A bridge is an economical option to replace missing teeth provided you have strong, healthy anchor teeth on either side of the gap. But if, as you say, the remaining teeth are also not in good shape then implants should be considered. Please note your gums and jawbone should be healthy in order to support implants. Please consult a good Prosthodontist (a dentist who specialises in teeth replacement) to get your oral health evaluated and find the best solution

Ans: Based on your son's 99.71 percentile, he has a strong chance of becoming a good ranker in JEE Advanced as well. If he scores well there, IIT admission can be his first preference.

With a JEE Main All India Rank (AIR) around 4,700 and 99.71 percentile, your son can realistically target CSE in several NITs, especially under the West Bengal home-state quota. Typically, top NIT CSE closing ranks range between 1,500 and 5,000—for example, recent CSE closing ranks include NIT Trichy at 1,449, Surathkal at 1,827, Warangal at 2,409, Rourkela at 3,431, Calicut at 5,222, and MNNIT Allahabad at 4,594.

Jee score is best of two attempts right? Sir seeing my ward score card has caused some confusion as tw of higher scores and one lower score( despite one higher score being available )is considered for computing final percentile.Can you please help resolve this

Ans: Yes, for JEE Main, the final result considers the better overall percentile from either of the two attempts, not a combination of the highest subject-wise percentiles from both.

So, if one attempt shows a higher total percentile but the scorecard reflects a lower one being used, it means the final merit is based on the best overall NTA percentile after normalization. The subject-wise percentiles are displayed separately for information but are not independently used to determine the final rank. So, best overall attempt counts, not best subject-wise combination. It is gastro colic reflex and reduces as age increases. If the stools are normal in consistency then nothing to worry. But if bulky, foul smelling then test for celiac disease

Recent JoSAA data shows that IIITM Gwalior's CSE closes around rank 8,044 in the general/all-India category, while ECE and related branches at newer IIITs often close at higher ranks, making them more attainable options. For NITs, CSE admission at top campuses is highly competitive, but ECE or other lower-demand branches at newer NITs and GFTIs could be realistic.

For VIT Vellore or Chennai, CSE admission depends on a strong VITEEE rank, as JEE Main ranks are not considered there.
