Which is more effective for weight loss: Yoga or gym workouts?

I always say this, please don’t focus on weight loss until you are seriously over weight. Focus instead on building flexibility, strength & stamina. Practicing Sun salutations or Surya Namaskars will help tremendously if you are planning to only focus on weight loss. Also Practicing the flow of vinyasa under a qualified teacher will help tremendously.

According to me, a combination of the two does wonders. 4 days of yoga abhyas and 2 days of strength training in a gym. Both of which must be done under supervision. One day simply let the body rest. But weight loss can be facilitated only if the diet you take is wholesome.
