Madam, I have started doing Yoga for the past 4 months and while doing Surya Namaskar, I have developed pain in my right hand elbow area as I am obese and the entire weight of the body falls on both the hands at time of bending down. My physiotherapist has advised not to do it any more (Surya Namaskar in particular) or deflect the body weight from hand to somewhere else. Kindly suggest how to do Surya Namaskar Yoga-asan without getting pain in the hands portion as explained above.
