Dear Maam My age is 63 and am diabetic since 8 yrs and now sugar is under control. Due to gastric problem the doctor has restricted milk and milk products. I eat paneer 2 times in a week and rarely milk. Instead of milk we use milk powder for tea or coffee. 1) is milk powder safe for diabetic and up to what quantity. 2) can a diabetic eat peanut and coconut 3) is gram flour safe 4) is sugar free tablets is the right substitute. How much a diabetic take daily With regards

Ans: - Milk powder is fine, just check the nutritional label for sugar content (it has to be zero sugar)

- Peanut and coconut in small amount once in a while is fine, avoid peanuts of u have any gut issues

- Gram flour is fine

- Preferably Avoid sugar free tablets
