Dear Komal,
My name is Sweeta Bhatra.
I am a vegetarian.
My weight is 52 kgs, but I look like 48 kgs. I am 5’4 because of genetic factors.
I try to eat healthy -- only ghar ka khana, fruits, fluids, homemade chapati with homemade ghee.
Then also, I know something is missing in my daily regimen.
I don’t eat fast food a lot.
Please give me a proper vegetarian diet plan.
Sweeta Bhatra

Ans:

It’s good to know that you eat healthy.

Focus on a high protein, fibre rich, low fat and low carb diet.

Eat lots of vegetables, fruits and salads.

Include whole grains, nuts and anti-inflammatory foods.

Drink plenty of water to remain well hydrated and sleep well.

Do strengthening and endurance exercises with some cardio activities to increase lean mass.

Dear Roopashree,My name is Sweeta. I am 24 years old. My height is 5.4 feet. My weight is 52 kg. I am from Assam. My problem is that I have an apple-shaped body -- heavy breast, size 36 and thin legs, thin arms, slim hips.My upper body is too heavy and lower body is thin. This happened after I left gymming.I tried working out at home but see no difference.I don’t know which bra to wear as my breasts look unnatural.I am going through lack of confidence as people body shame me a lot of the time,I have belly fat too.And the last thing is I am pure vegetarian so I can’t go for non-vegetarian diet.Waiting for your kind and valuable response,Sweeta Sharma
Ans:

Our body weight and shape depends on various factors including our physical activity, diets, daily routines, age etc.

We often focus on the first two and end up disturbing the inner balance of our hormones and other bodily functions.

Therefore, you should first focus on regaining your inner body balance, both mental and physical.

Practice surya namaskar daily -- the vinyasa form.

Learn from professional teachers and avoid immature videos if you haven't practiced yoga before.

Since you have been working out, focus on strengthening your core -- try planks.

Also, start breathing exercises, especially Kapalbhati pranayam.

Losing or gaining weight in the right places will happen once your body is healthy and balanced.

Vegetarian diet has enough sources of proteins. Add more sprouts and legumes to your diet. Also, eat lots of salads; this will provide high fibre to ensure your digestive health.

Dating, Relationships Expert - Answered on Dec 19, 2024

Relationship
I 32F have been dating my boyfriend for about a year now. He has a young daughter from his previous marriage, and they share custody. I’ve been trying to get along with his ex-wife, but it’s been really difficult. She often contacts him for things that aren’t urgent and it feels like she’s overstepping into our relationship, especially when it comes to decisions about their daughter. I understand that they need to co-parent, but I feel like I’m always left out or made to feel uncomfortable. My boyfriend says he tries to balance everything, but sometimes I feel like his ex-wife has more influence in his life than me. How can I set healthy boundaries with her without causing tension, and how can I talk to my boyfriend about how I’m feeling without sounding like I’m being controlling?
Ans: Dear Anonymous,
I understand that you are in a tricky spot but it is important to understand that when it comes to their child, they have the right to make decisions and ignore everyone else's, even yours. You should keep your relationship and their co-parenting situation separate. Having said that, if you think your BF's ex is overstepping, communicate that to your partner, while letting him know that it bothers you and might even create friction in your relationship. An open and honest discussion is the only way around it. If expressing your discomfort is causing tension or considered ‘controlling,’ then you need to rethink the relationship.

I am sure your partner is truly trying to balance things, but since he is dating you, he should be aware of the areas where that balance is lacking. Communication is the only way.

Hope this helps.
