Hello Sir, I am 47 yr. old diabetic for last 6 years. I walk for 45 minutes and do exercise 50 - 60 minutes in the morning everyday. My fasting sugar 135 and pp is 174 last week. I took a medicine Glucoril M1 in morning only but my health is degraded gradually. I have also foot drop problem in my right leg from last year and numbness from the lower of right leg Knees. I had taken medicines for foot drop problem but I have no any benefit. Can you prescribe me some medicines for my foot drop problem and numbness? Thank You

Ans: There is no universal medicine for a foot drop. If the foot drop is on one side it is usually due to a damage to a nerve. There are several other causes also. The cause needs to be found out. You need to be evaluated by a neurologist

I have been a diabetic for the past 15 years and I am on aplevant 1.5 mg injection and pregeb tablets. I have uncomfortable pain in foot and not able to stand or walk freely, though the pain is not acute its really bothers me on a day to day life. Kindly suggest.

Ans: If your blood Sugars are well maintained then the impact on Peripheral nerves will not be there. So maintaining blood sugar through a balanced diet and adequate physical activity will help.

Madam, I am a senior citizen, 69 years old. My weight is 94 Kgs and I suffer from diabetes and am on medicine (Istamet). For last two years or so, I have a tingling sensation at the base of toes of both my feet. As a result, at times, I can not put my soles firmly on the ground resulting in loss of grip. Then I can not walk fast of limp slightly for some time. Things become better after I walk for some time. Please suggest what should I do for redressal.

Ans: This looks like you have Peripheral neuropathy, a consequence of badly regulated blood sugar. Kindly address this issue with your treating Physician for a smooth regulation of blood sugar. Also please check your weight and manage to maintain your weight closer to ideal weight. Have balanced nutrition and increase your phtsical activity

My sugar lever is under control. Glycaemic index 5.5. Still wound is taking time to heal. I have numbness in both legs. Kindly suggest me qways to get rid of this problem. Also suggest ways to improve sensitivity in my legs.Nunbness issue is curable?

Have you consulted a good nutritionist and if yes, are you following it properly? What we eat makes a huge difference in diabetes, to heal wound and to reduce numbness in legs.
Are you doing some form of yoga? Some breathing exercises? Are you doing at least 30-45 minutes walks regularly?
All these above are very important for you so please let me know.

I’m not sure where you’re from, but according to the NIRF, the top colleges are located in Ooty, Mysuru, Manipal, and Mumbai. In most states, NEET eligibility is not required for admission, but state-level exams are necessary. Many deemed-to-be universities conduct their own entrance exams, so if you’re interested in joining one of these universities, you can reach out to them for further information.

Minimum qualification for admission to –(extracted from Pharmacy council of India.)

We are couple with 1 child. However, struggling with schools for my 11 year old who has autism, can talk and severe adhd. Schools are saying that they cannot enrol him yet due to behaviour and the fact that he wont listen to anyone and behave badly. He is smart in academics but likes to do things as he wishes creating issues. he struggles with peer communication and sitting in one place and will slouch and fall from the chair. Are there any options that we can look at. As his IQ is normal we feel he will struggle in a special school as well.

Ans: Dear Madam/Sir. Appreciate you reach out to improve core strength as many people do neglect core muscle strength. A strong core is essential for better posture, stability, and overall fitness. To strengthen your core, start with a plank, where you lift your body onto your forearms and toes, keeping your back straight and holding the position for 30-60 seconds. Next, try the bird-dog by getting on all fours, stretching one arm forward and the opposite leg backward, holding for a few seconds, and switching sides. The dead bug is another great exercise—lie on your back with arms and legs raised, then slowly lower one arm and the opposite leg before switching. For lower back and glute activation, perform glute bridges by lying on your back with knees bent, lifting your hips up, and lowering them slowly. Russian twists improve oblique strength; sit with bent knees, lean back slightly, and twist your torso side to side. Leg raises help target the lower abs—lie flat, lift both legs straight up, and lower them without touching the ground. Lastly, try the hollow body hold by lying on your back, lifting your shoulders and legs slightly off the ground, and holding the position while keeping your core engaged.
