Madam,
I am a senior citizen, 69 years old. My weight is 94 Kgs and I suffer from diabetes and am on medicine (Istamet).
For last two years or so, I have a tingling sensation at the base of toes of both my feet. As a result, at times, I can not put my soles firmly on the ground resulting in loss of grip. Then I can not walk fast of limp slightly for some time. Things become better after I walk for some time. Please suggest what should I do for redressal.
Ans: This looks like you have Peripheral neuropathy, a consequence of badly regulated blood sugar. Kindly address this issue with your treating Physician for a smooth regulation of blood sugar. Also please check your weight and manage to maintain your weight closer to ideal weight. Have balanced nutrition and increase your phtsical activity
