My son (15 years) got inner injury in knee while playing football. Dr. Advised rest for 2 month. After this he started swimming. Again there is a pain in knee. MIR shows water in knee. Dr advised 2 month rest. I wanted him to join gym and suddenly this happened. I am worried about it very much

Have you shown your son to a physiotherapist?
Please can you specifically share the main diagnosis part in the MRI? Why is the water there? What is the cause?

My10 year old grand daughter suddenly complain pain in her right legs and lower portion of foot , she stopped walking and even walk her movement was zig zag . After few weeks she recovered and given vitamin D and calcium. All her diagnostic results show no abnormality . She went many blood test, gene profile MRI and X ray but no unusual finding was there. now she has many episodes of such pain. She always try to avoid school .Pl suggest and guide. This happen she was studying from home on- line and suddenly when school was open off line after two years .RPT

Ans: Hello Rajendra,
Is the pain even now only on the right leg or both the legs? Is the pain in the right calf muscles? How much is the pain on a scale of 1/10? What brings up the pain? What helps to settle it down? Is she okay at night?
There is no emotional issues at school right?
Leg pain in children can be due to growing pain and usually settles on its own. Massage around the legs can help and hot packs can also help.
However if it is severe enough for her to not want to goto school then please show a orthopedic who deals with children or show to a physiotherapist. They will need to assess. At time there could be muscle triggers which need to be released and the child becomes completely okay.

Hi Nidhi I am 65 with good health and I trek 3-4 times in a year, had an accident about 15 years back where my right knee ligament broke. I did not go for surgery and strengthened my other muscles with a very good physiotherapist. Since 5-6 months I sometimes get pain in the front part of my left knee and since 5-6 days back of my knee has started paining sometimes. Please advise. Thank you

Your right knee ligament broke and now you are getting pain on the front part of your right knee or left knee? You have written left knee.
If it is happening in the opposite knee then it could be due to that knee taking more strain. That usually happens post an injury. Even though we strengthen the muscles subconsciously our other knee tends to take more strain. Please check it out with a physiotherapist. They may need to release some muscles of the left knee and you should get better.
If your right knee is paining then better to do an x-ray and MRI of the right knee to check for the ligament and other soft tissue condition.

Hi, I am 40Y M 80.5kg 5'11''. Have developed knee pain in right leg since last 1.5years, feel mild knocking on bending knee also since around the same time. Find it difficult to climb stairs as the affected knee doesnt seem to take proper load. i also suffer from knee locking while walking in the same leg. MRI Scan reveal mild erosion of cartilage. I am able to stay active and play mild sports with knee supports, no pain experienced once body warms up so able to run as well. Doctor also suggested knee injections if the pain further aggravates. Is it advisable to go for such treatments. Please advise what exercises should be done. Are there any supplements or multi vitamins that i shall take.

Yes, injections really help but it’s subjective to different conditions. For now let’s go by what your doctor says since he/she knows your case fully with the current symptoms. With respect to exercise we can only start if it’s indicated by the doctor

I am Dr . Devendra Kumar, got injury on my left knee 15 years back now there is pain in my left knee but there is no swelling, in addition to this there occurs crackling sound when I sits & gets up , please suggest any effective exercise for this problem

Ans: Hello Dr. Devendra Kumar. Thank you for the question. Since you did not mention your age, I cant definitely say what could be reason , however it is more suggestive towards osteoarthritis of Knee considering that pain started with one knee and there is crackling sound ( Crepitation) . I do suggest visiting Orthopedic Surgeon and taking X -ray to confirm diagnosis. Meanwhile do knee strengthening exercises like VMO Strengthening, Straight leg raising, Lunges and Squatting.

Focus on a balanced diet rich in whole grains, lean proteins, healthy fats, and plenty of vegetables. Limit refined sugars, processed foods, and high-calorie snacks. Monitor portion sizes and spread meals throughout the day. Regular exercise helps lower blood sugar levels. Discuss your results with a registered dietician or your family physician.

Ans: Not sure if doing courses would help you to get a stable income as most companies prefer younger employees. But can look at option of working in a startup / smaller company at a lower salary and then build a profile to help develop skill sets that would make you employable at a higher salary. It could also be possible that you could use your experience in your past work in your new job.

Ans: If you are already drawing 28 lpa, then leaving a job for doing MBA does not seem to be a good option. But can analyze the placements in these top Executive MBA course. Check if the profiles that they provide are of interest to you. Their average package should be 30+ lpa. Look also at an option of taking a sabbatical from your company to do an executive MBA.

XIM Bhuvaneshwar is a good college and has preference for students from Odisha, so that can be one of the options. For average MBA college check their placements and talk to the students of that college before deciding to join.
