Hi Mayank,
I would like to keep my question anonymous.
I have been working in an energy solutions-based company. It is a multinational engineering consultancy company. Our main line of business is engineering of oil and gas based refineries and related petrochemical plants.
I joined this Mumbai-based company in 2015 as a trainee.
I am happy with the work but my financial growth is very slow as compared to my friends working in similar companies.
I haven't switched companies as on now.
I am looking for a job switch both in India or abroad (Dubai/ Singapore).
I have been trying hard to find a company for a job switch but I am not getting response from anyone.
I mainly try through LinkedIn and Naukri.
My questions to you are:
1. Could you please advise what is the best way to find jobs abroad (because I'm tired of applying via LinkedIn). Should I take any professional help? If yes, please suggest the name of a good company you know.
2. What is the best way to switch a job in India, considering the lack of response from employers through LinkedIn or Naukri?
I'll be very happy to have answers to this.

Hi. As you work in a niche segment, your job search also needs to be focused.

Make a list of the companies where your skills are the most appropriate. Then connect with people who work in those companies through LinkedIn. Approach them for a suitable role as all good companies have internal employee referral programmes.

Also, please understand that you should not look for a job only because of a low salary.

If your management is supportive and is willing to gradually increase your salary, then you can consider continuing here.

Hi Mayank , I am an industrial automation engineer aged 43 , I am earning a CTC of 26 LPA , I have changed my all previous jobs after every 5-6 years span , from last 12 years my profile has been a combination of team leader and engineering contribution, but in my current job I am on bench from 2 years now , good thing that getting the salary , but due to less salaries in my core area of industrial automation I am not finding any suitable job and even got rejected many times as all positions comparable to my salary are plant HODs for which I do not qualify , I have no option but to look for job outside india which is again not easy for my domain , kindly suggest what is the best possible solution for candidate like me ? You need to think with cool mind You want to enter into FMCD retail dealership showroom which is quite risky . Neither going to abroad for job with regard to your sales wont be possible and many developed countries in changed
scenario don't issue visa to stay and look for job unless you have very exclusive work experience or qualification. However you may try for Australia/ Canada / Ireland / UK etc. I will suggest pl. get into sales job here in India , which won't be difficult to get.

to be honest there is nothing called partial drop, its like sailing in 2 boats. This will not help.
Private colleges in India are pretty expensive. If MBBS is your only dream, we can explore options for MBBS abroad, which are quite economical.

Other options can be physiotherapy, pharmacy, bsc in forensics etc.

my son is a us citizen and i have returned back to india when he is very young due to family issues... now he completed graduation in india.. and is interested to work in usa what are the opportunities that he can get to pursue further studies in usa with scholarships or assistance or get some help in settling there(unemployment benefits) as i cannot afford to sponsor him anymore

Ans: No issue. Being the citizen he will get the benefit and tuition fess will be very low as compared to other international students. I won't allow his talents to die. But don't send him for Masters, because now a days in Masters it is very difficult to get scholarship, that means tuition fees waive. Let him directly try for PH.D. Ph.D admission always comes with funding. You need to spend only for the air ticket. For long term counselling join me in LINKEDIN. In Ph.d after two years if he wants to discontinue he can safely exit with an MS degree and please don't think of unemployment benefits. It's a negative thinking. Since he is an American Citizen by birth let him fly and inscribe his name in golden letters in the academic landscape of USA. I am always there to help him. No worries please. Sir/Madam, I'm pursuing B. Tech in Food technology and I'll graduate in 2025. I want to pursue PhD after B. Tech in Food Science and Technology abroad. So please suggest me of its a better idea or do i have to study Masters?

Ans: If you get integrated Ph.D programme in USA you can go for it and after completion of 32 credits you can exit also with MS degree. If you pursue MS then I would recommend only MS. Be in my LINKEDIN list for having permanent counselling many times in future. If you get Ph.D (integrated) then certainly don't go for Masters. I will be always showing you the correct path. I am engineer with 16 years of IT experience and now a break of 11 yrs. But in 11 yrs I had been taking Quantitative aptitude lectures as a visiting faculty in various engineering and MBA colleges and also done Mutual fund certification. I haven't been siting but doing many things professionally in last 11 yrs(In my subject of interest as Maths, Teaching, Finance, Accounting, Wealth Management). I was thinking of doing ESG certification. What kind of role I would get if i am CFA ESG certified.I am looking for Professionally and intellectually engaging role where I can contribute to Society. Ans: I won't recommend you to go for ESG certification unless you are having a background of Env. Engg and Environmental Impact Assessment. The certificate course of ESG is costly also. Ans: Since you are a diploma you are not graduate. So I would advise you to go for an online BBA along with you job. It will take three years. After that go for online MBA. It will take another two years. Keep your job and you may switch to other companies. Within five years you will be a post graduate with another five years experience. Ans: First answer is YEs. But if you apply only to university of Melbourne then risk will be there, because every university has a certain acceptance norms. So being an expert I would advise you to apply to atleast three universities.

Ans: Who told you to switch over to IT? What is your basic degree? I think it must be Mechanical/Production. You left your own stream and in IT sector it is an everchanging field. By the time a students complete his B.Tech the market demand is changed. You must have gone to IT for more money, but the ultimate result is there is a mental break down. Decision makes a man, not hard work. Decisions Decide Destiny. Now first think whether you want to be in IT or again come back to production or not. How is the opportunity in india for a candidate who has done master in data science Australia and also has 1 year work experience in Australia

Ans: Truly speaking you can't expect much. First thing is that how India will consider the Master degree of Australia is not known to anyone. Even if an American MS comes after ten years of experience he/she will never get the desired and required treatment, hike and salary. India is flooded with Data Science professionals and bodies like Intellipaat are giving certificate in Data Science with collaboration with Chennai IIT or Roorkee IIT. Secondly the reputation of your Australian university is also a major factor. I think you can't expect much. Best of Luck.
