Hello sir my name is sanu actually I am facing stage fear when I have to speak in front of people then always I feel that there is a lot of load on me that's why in can't speak well many times I know the answer but can't describe it well so suggest me some tips to overcome

Ans: Firstly be fully conversant with the topic that you have to speak on.
Secondly, remember that all those around you also have a certain amount of stage fright, the idea is to tell yourself to keep focus, speak from your heart as you would do to a friend.
I always say 'relax relax relax' in my mind a number of times before I get on stage or have to face an interview... that and a bit of meditation helps for sure.

Hi Anu, I'm 39 years old. Ever since my childhood, I was always afraid of facing people. Was reading in front of class or reciting a poem, I always felt running away and avoiding it. The problem further worsened as I grew up, as I started feeling difficult making friends. I get a feeling that people don't like me, and it’s evident whenever I'm part of a gathering usually peopleignore me. Hence I tend to avoid interacting with people. I don't know how to handle this situation. I don't have this issue while interacting with people whom I know, and am pretty confident with familiar people whom I interact with on day to day basis. In front of people, or when I put on a spot I really feel awkward and anxious. The thought keeps on bothering me and I don't get sleep at times. Please provide me suggestions/inputs on how I can get rid of this problem.
Ans: Dear S, You face what is called performance related stress as you are worried about failure and being embarrassed in front of a crowd.

Firstly, know why you are having to be in front of a crowd; office presentations, meetings and thinks like that. If it is necessary for your job and in life in general, let’s work at this.

Start watching videos of people who are orators, great speakers and who enthrall others on stage

Next, observe every movement of theirs and how they walk, talk, their voice etc.

Then, simply take on the same role imagining yourself to be them and do the same. Live this role. Try doing this many times over till it becomes second nature to you.

Finally, imagine a situation where you want to feel confident. And imagine doing your new learning from Step 3 and living it. Do this a couple of times till you think you are ready.

The next time, with the same situation, things should definitely go your way and you will be in charge for sure.

Be confident and happy new learning!

I am 35, MBA from a reputed college. I recently took over as senior project manager in a software company. Over the last few months, I’ve been asked to lead more high-stakes presentations, but every time I step in front of a group of senior professionals, my nerves take over. I can’t seem to communicate my ideas clearly, and I end up rambling or losing the audience. It’s frustrating because I know the content is strong, but I can’t deliver it with the confidence it needs. I’m starting to feel like this could affect my career growth if I don’t improve. I want to know how to seem more confident and present my ideas with clarity.
Ans: Hi!!

I can understand what you are going through.
I have helped many a people to become better communicators, presenters and public speakers. I agree with you when you say .. that these skills will augur well for your career growth.
What I can say is this .. that it is a learnable skill. Practice and more practice is the only way ahead. You said your content is strong, that is 50% of the job done, so build up on this confidence and practice your delivery in front of the mirror or in front of encouraging family/friends.
The only way to gain confidence is to "JUST DO IT"....to calm your nerves- deep breathing techniques and visualizations techniques will be useful.
I can help you on this journey of being a person who delivers with panache!

There are books by Dale Carnegie on public speaking which can help you out. Also read about Abe Lincoln and his journey of becoming a great orator, it can maybe help you.

Remember, PRACTICE AND PRACTICE is the key to unlock your confidence and become the person who delvers with panache.

All the best!!

Sir, my daughter got 20000 OBC NCL rank in jee main. She is interested in Govt jobs in future. Which will be better. NIT Bhopal Mechanical or NIT Silchar Chemical or IIIT Bhubaneswar CSE. Kindly reply
Ans: Mahesh Sir, NIT Bhopal’s Mechanical Engineering, with NBA accreditation and a 90.3% placement rate in 2023, boasts robust core labs, an active training?and?placement cell, and annual visits by over 200 recruiters, including leading PSUs, resulting in 88% of the 2024 batch securing offers. NIT Silchar’s Chemical Engineering, NBA accredited and affiliated to a central university, recorded an 82.4% placement rate in 2023, supported by specialized chemical and process engineering facilities, mandatory internships, and sector?focused recruiters but fewer PSU drives compared to core branches. IIIT Bhubaneswar’s CSE, NAAC accredited, features modern computing, AI/ML, and cybersecurity labs, with 71% CSE placements in 2024 through 42 recruiters, though PSU participation is limited in IT roles. For students aiming at government sector careers—especially in PSUs recruiting heavily from core engineering streams—strong core infrastructure, dedicated PSU placement drives, and alumni networks are critical factors.

Final recommendation: For a clear pathway into PSUs and government engineering roles, recommendation is NIT Bhopal Mechanical, given its superior PSU engagement, dedicated core labs, and consistently high placement rates. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!
