I am looking for the longer horizon, may be 10 to 15 years from now. I am already investing in below SIPs request your view on it. Also, if you can suggest some good options to buy looking at my horizon. My Age as on date is 39 years. Risk appetite is medium.

1) HDFC MID CAP OPPORTUNITIES FUND GROWTH PLAN - Rs. 1000 monthly
2)ICICI PRUDENTIAL VALUE DISCOVERY FUND GROWTH PLAN - Rs. 1000 Monthly
3) SBI SMALL CAP FUND GROWTH PLAN - Rs. 2000 monthly
4) FRANKLIN INDIA FOCUSED EQUITY FUND GROWTH PLAN - Rs. 2000 monthly
5) Aditya Birla SunLife Pure Value-G Rs. 4000 Monthly
6) L&T Emerging Businesses-G Rs. 3000 monthly

Ans: Continue with SBI Small Cap and for others kindly consolidate your portfolio as under:

Instead of focused: Uti Equity Fund-growth Plan-growth

Instead of L&T Emerging Business: Canara Robeco Emerging Equities – Growth

In Mid Cap: Axis Mid Cap fund – Growth

Thematic instead of Value Funds: DSP Quant Fund - Growth

Kotak Bluechip Fund -- Direct Plan (G) 4. IDFC Tax Advantage (ELSS) Fund -- Direct Plan (G) 5. SBI Small Cap Fund (G) 6. Canara Robeco Blue Chip Equity Fund -- Regular Plan (G) 7. Kotak Standard Multicap Fund -- Regular Plan (G) 8. Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund -- Direct Plan (G) 9. DSP World Energy Fund -- Regular Plan (G) 10. DSP Equity Opportunities Fund -- Regular Plan (G) 11. Motilal Oswal Focused 25 Fund -- Regular Plan (G) 12. SBI Focused Equity Fund (G) Request you to please guide with your valuable inputs in relation to the above.

Ans: Funds are good but too many funds are there. Try to restrict to four to six funds, that is sufficient to provide adequate diversification.

Hi , I am 44 years old , Currently I have invested in following SIPs , 1. SBI Multicap Fund - 5K , 2. SBI Small Cap Fund Direct Growth-5K , 3. SBI Focused Equity Fund Direct Growth- 5K , 4. Parag Parikh Flexi Cap -2K 5. PGIM India Midcap Opportunities Fund Direct-Growth - 1.5K 6. ICICI Prudential Bluechip Fund Direct-Growth-1.5K 7. Quant Flexi Cap Fund Direct-Growth-2K . Are these SIPs good to continue ? I want to invest another 5K in SIP, please suggest me some good options.

Ans: Your current SIPs are a good mix of equity funds. They provide you with exposure to a variety of asset classes and investment styles but we suggest you also maintain your asset allocation according to your age, risk profile, and goals.

Your current asset allocation is 100% in equity funds, and you don’t have any debt investments. So, we suggest you to change your asset allocation and add some hybrid/debt funds in your portfolio.
For the additional Rs. 5,000 SIP, we suggest investing in the Aggressive Hybrid category or Balanced Advantage category for the purpose of diversification and asset allocation.

Student is living in Maharashtra state since 2018, and passed out 10th and 12th board examination from a school/college in Airoli (Thanne), but dont have domicile for Maharashtra. Appeared in MAHA CET (PCM) 2025 and got 98percentile. Please guide, if he is eligible to get seat under state quota during counseling. Also suggest CSE is possible at this score with college options.

Ans: Since both the 10th and 12th are passed from Maharashtra domicile is not required, but in her school leaving certificate it must be mentioned that she did from Maharashtra and her Indian Nationality must also be mentioned there. With 98 percentile she will not get COEP, but will certainly get in other good private Engineertng Colleges.
