My son is experiencing torture working 24 hours and should be available in Weekends too with an American MNC. Due to health issues cropping up, he decided to quit the company. He informed quite openly to the co-founder to whom he reports that he can't continue bcoz of health reasons and willlook for local employment. He was told that he can resign after he gets a new appointment. Immediately in matter of 3 days he could manage to get a very good offer locally and mailed his resignation to the co-founder giving one month notice. But the co-founder changed his words and says that he can't relieve until he finds a replacement. And he is asking for the Offer letter of the new company. We are afraid that he may spoilsport. Please advise.

Ans: Hi there, it's unfortunate that your son is experiencing this situation. Your son shouldn't share anything about the Offer Letter because that is none of the current employer's business, especially since you are apprehensive that they will play the spoilsport. You have not written the required notice period for the current company, but in either case, please review the terms of employment and even consult a lawyer who deals with labor laws, and who could provide some suggestions to help you out of this tricky situation.
