Sir, I appeared for cbse class 12 board exam in 2024, i have 6 subjects but got RT in maths but I'm overall pass. I tried again in 2025 but again got RT for just one marks. After that, I took 2nd drop for jee and started maths preparation. I thought I will fill maths subject in cbse additional subject category and started it's preparation, I also paid 1lakh in jee coaching, but today cbse doesn't add additional subject category for private students. What should I do now sir??? I'm feeling demotivated and getting suicidal thoughts.

Ans: I’m really sorry to hear how heavy and overwhelming this feels for you right now. Please know your life is far more valuable than marks or exams. Failing or getting RT (Repeat in Theory) in a subject does not define your future. Many students face setbacks and still build successful careers. Since CBSE is not allowing maths as an additional subject for private students, you can consider reappearing in the compartment/improvement category, or explore NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling), which allows you to take subjects flexibly, and its certificate is valid for JEE and other exams. Meanwhile, focus on your JEE prep. Since you’ve already invested in coaching, strengthening maths will help you in both JEE and board re-attempts. Most importantly, please talk to someone you trust (parents, friends, a teacher), and if your suicidal thoughts feel strong, reach out immediately to a mental health professional or a suicide helpline. You are not alone in this, and with the right guidance, you will definitely find a path forward. Talk with someone as early as possible without thinking too much. There are far better options than JEE (engineering). Explore them aligned to your interests. If you look nearby, you will find 80-90% people who are successful who are neither doctors nor engineers. Be positive. Rethink about the stress-creating JEE option and choose a better stressless option.

I am jee aspirant and couldn't clear it . I was sure that in 2nd attempt i will do it for sure but when I saw the results they broke my courage. I convinced my self its ok u have many other options but after seeing my cbse 12th results its hard that there is any option left for me. I thought for bits pilani but I am not getting aggregate above than 75% . Now , I have no courage to start again . I am depressed what should I should do. There isn't any single day that I am not scolded for my marks and mistakes . Even now my parents aren't that much supportive like they were . It feels like just because u can't clear ur entrance exam , ur everything is judged. My parents are saying of taking drop but its hard for to take a drop. I don't know what should I do. Every day its getting hard to live thinking that again someone will come and make me count my mistakes.

You win some, you lose some...that is LIFE...

Instead of feeling down and out, pick yourself up and figure out what you want to do next...what are the other options that you are yet to consider. feeling sorry for yourself is not going to push you to make a future.
You can't change what's happened but you can certainly choose how you want things to move ahead...
So shake this low feeling and feeling sorry for yourself off and seek the advice of a senior who you look up to or someone in your family who can guide you on the next steps.
It helps involving someone to help you at this time as you are deep into it already. This person can play the role of giving you independent advice and suggestions without judging you.

1. Seek someone who is a role model to guide you
2. Look ahead instead of harping on what has happened
3. Use failure as a form of feedback from where you can learn
4. Spend at least a month away from academics to rework strategies on how to study effectively
5. Smile through challenges as they only help you grow

Sir I belong to Pilibhit district of UP. I was an average kind of child till my class 10(85-92%).But in class 11 I chose to go for coaching to prepare for iitjee in kota. The atmosphere there was highly competitive,And I saw lot of brilliant minds there due to which I got into inferiority complex, with that my spirit and confidence went very low accompanied by home sickness and I severly got ill for a month. My syllabus was ruined and everything gone bad. I decided to continue my dummy school there and came back to my place and joined an online platform. But due to lot of distractions and OCD I finally failed in class 12. From 91 in 10th to failing 12th I have covered a long way down. Now I am having suicidal thoughts please guide me for my future sir??

Think about your parents, relatives & friends who are very affectionate over you. NEVER think of committing Suicide Dear.

To avoid negative thinking and negative about you, please change your lifestyle and start doing yoga / meditation daily. Your mind will feel better and relaxed.

Also please stop thinking that if you do not join IITs / NITs, you won’t have future. Nothing like that. There are a lac of Students who have been successful both in India & Abroad, without joining IITs / NITs

Simple solutions for you to be successful in your career.

1) Prepare for your 12th Board and appear again with full concentration / focus. You will definitely score good marks.
2) Prepare for some entrance exams for getting admission into any good college (in & around UP). No need to prepare separately for each entrance exam for BTech. Syllabus will be more or less same.
3) Appear for 3-4 State entrance exams of UP / Delhi. Ignore JEE.
4) Shortlist 10 top colleges of UP / Delhi. Choose the most suitable one after you get confirmed admissions from 3-4 colleges.

I was an intelligent student until class 10th. I scored 90% in 10th from CBSE Board... Due to lackness of guidance,money i couldn't studied in good offline coachings..then my parents took non attending school in 12th in my city..i scored 69.8% in 12th in cbse..during COVID time..i distracted from phones from games,YouTube ,etc...i waste so much time in phone...and overthinking about how to prepare for jee ..12th all these..I took 1st drop,2nd drop,3rd drop,4th drop...in these ,I wasted all ..in 1st year, I got 71% ile in jee..in 2nd year ,it was bad..in 3rd year,i gave 12th again from nios .i scored 66.4%,I clear wbjee with 56000 rank.In 4th year,I missed the viteee& wbjee both exam..I am very tensed ,sad ,what should I do now .I want to do engineering...also I faced many health problems like migraine..anxiety,ocd, depression,brain nerves shrink like problems..

Here are some realistic alternative routes for you to still pursue engineering despite the setbacks: (1) State & Private Colleges (Management/Direct Admission) (2) Diploma to Degree (Lateral Entry) (3) State-Level Exams like Odisha JEE, Maharashtra CET, COMEDK, etc., still possible (4) Deemed Universities & Distance Options (5) Parallel Technical Careers (If you prefer a faster route, i.e., B.Sc. Computer Science, IT, or BCA, then go for MCA/M.Tech)

My suggestion: Don’t waste another year dropping. Choose a private or state-level college this year (through WBJEE counseling, direct admission, or management quota) and start your B.Tech. Once you enter college, you can focus on learning, internships, and building a career instead of being stuck in exam cycles.

Ans: Pallavi, the rank range based on your 90 percentile is approximately 45000 to 75000, with females benefiting from gender-neutral quotas. However, exact rank depends on session normalization/the total number of students who appeared. You can use the NTA rank predictor post-exam from Google. Regarding chances of getting admission into NIT-Patna, based on the last 2-3 years' opening and closing ranks, please note, getting a seat in much-in-demand branches (such as CSE, ECE, Electronics (VLSI), Electrical, and AI-DS) will be difficult. However, chances are higher (till the last round of counseling) for Chemical Technology Dual Degree, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Specialisation (Dual Degree), Electrical Engineering Specialisation (Dual Degree), and Mechanical Engineering & Mechatronics/Automation (Slight Chances). It is advisable to fill out the maximum number of your preferred branches and those branches that are realistic to get admission to, and also please do not limit yourself to your home state only. If possible, be flexible and try to cover the maximum number of NITs in Northern/Northeastern states. And, if affordable by your parents, try 3-4 other reputed private engineering colleges also as backups with your JEE score, instead of relying only on NIT/JoSAA. I am 35 and I just had a baby last year. I have never joined a gym but now i have gained 14 kilos. My body still doesn't feel like mine, and I don’t want to rush into heavy workouts. When is it actually safe to start postnatal yoga for weight loss? I had a c-sec delivery.
Ans: First, please don’t rush or feel pressured. Your body has gone through a big change. It needs time, care, and patience—especially after a C-section.

When to start postnatal yoga?
After a C-section, usually 8–12 weeks rest is needed before starting gentle yoga. But this is not the same for everyone. You must take doctor’s approval first before starting.

Even after approval, don’t jump into weight loss yoga immediately.

Start in stages:

1. First stage (very gentle)
Deep breathing, simple hand and leg movements, relaxation. This helps healing and reduces stress.

2. Second stage
Pelvic floor strengthening and mild core activation. This is very important after delivery.

3. Third stage (gradual weight loss)
Slow Surya Namaskar, Bhujangasana, Setu Bandhasana, and gentle twists. This will slowly reduce weight and tone the body.

Remember, your goal is not just weight loss. It is to rebuild strength, hormones, and energy.

Also, lack of sleep and stress can slow weight loss. So be kind to yourself.

Please don’t practice from videos. Postnatal recovery needs careful guidance, especially after C-section. A qualified yoga and meditation coach can safely guide your recovery step by step.

You will feel like yourself again—slowly and naturally.

Talk to him calmly, not as a parent correcting him, but as a friend listening. Avoid blaming. Ask simple questions like, “Are you feeling stressed?” or “Is something bothering you?” When he feels understood, he will open up.

Now, introduce yoga and mindfulness gently:

Start with 5 minutes only – don’t force long sessions.
Deep breathing (Anulom Vilom) – improves focus and calms mind.
Bhramari (humming breath) – reduces anger and mood swings.
Simple stretches + Surya Namaskar (slow) – releases restlessness.
Trataka (candle gazing) – improves concentration.

I wake up every morning with extreme pain in my heels. I can't put my foot down for a very long time. I am 41. I am not diabetic. Can you suggest some remedy or yoga exercises I can do?
Ans: Morning heel pain like you described is very common. It is often due to stiffness in the foot muscles after long rest (sometimes called plantar fascia tightness).

Don’t worry—yoga and simple care can help. But you must be gentle.

First, before getting out of bed:
Move your feet slowly. Point toes up and down, rotate ankles. This reduces sudden pain when you step down.

Yoga practices you can do:

1. Ankle rotation – 10 times each side, very slow.
2. Toe stretch – sit and gently pull toes towards you.
3. Tadasana (standing) – improves weight balance on feet.
4. Vajrasana (if comfortable) – improves circulation in legs.
5. Calf stretch (wall support) – reduces heel strain.
6. Pavanamuktasana (lying) – improves blood flow and relaxation.

Simple daily care:
Use warm water soaking for feet. Avoid walking barefoot on hard floor. Wear soft, supportive footwear.

Very important: do not ignore pain and don’t do strong poses suddenly. Wrong practice can increase strain.

Your body needs a personalized plan based on your condition. I strongly suggest learning from a qualified yoga or meditation coach instead of practicing on your own.

I'm a working mother battling extreme anxiety. I visited a therapist who suggested meditation and journaling to express my feelings. But it is not helping, I am not able to calm down and sit quietly to meditate. What should I do?
Ans: I understand what you are going through. When anxiety is high, sitting quietly for meditation can feel very difficult. Please don’t force yourself to “sit still and calm down.” It can increase frustration.

Start with movement before meditation.

Your body is restless, so first release that tension:

1. Gentle movements (5–10 minutes)
Neck rolls, shoulder rotations, slow walking. This helps the body settle.

2. Breathing practice
Try deep belly breathing. Inhale slowly, exhale longer than inhale. No pressure to be perfect. Just breathe.

3. Bhramari (humming breath)
Close eyes, gently hum. The vibration naturally calms the mind.

4. Short guided relaxation
Lie down in Shavasana. No effort. Just listen to your breath. Even 3–5 minutes is enough.

Meditation does not always mean “sitting silently.” For you, it can begin with breathing and relaxation. Slowly, your mind will become ready.

Also, journaling may feel heavy sometimes. Instead, write just one line: “What am I feeling right now?” Keep it simple.

Most important, please don’t handle this alone. Anxiety needs gentle, step-by-step guidance. A trained yoga and meditation coach can support you personally and safely.
