मेरे पास 8.7 और 9.0% की दर से घर और टॉप अप लोन हैं (लोन की कुल कीमत लगभग 51 लाख है) जहाँ मैं नियमित EMI का भुगतान कर रहा हूँ और मेरे पास 12.1% की दर से शिक्षा लोन भी है (अभी कीमत लगभग 38 लाख है) जहाँ EMI शुरू नहीं हुई है और अगले महीने शुरू होने वाली है। यहाँ मुझे ब्याज पर आयकर में लगभग 30% की कमी मिल रही है। मैं ब्याज के बोझ को कम करने के लिए इन लोन को कम करना चाहता हूँ। कृपया सुझाव दें कि पहले किस लोन का भुगतान/कटौती की जाए क्योंकि घर के लोन की EMI बचत को SIP में निवेश किया जा सकता है जहाँ शिक्षा लोन की EMI भी अब शुरू होगी। वर्तमान में मैं लोन में कमी के लिए लगभग 20 लाख का प्रबंध कर सकता हूँ। सादर, अनुराग

Ans: हालाँकि एजुकेशन लोन पर ब्याज दर ज़्यादा है, लेकिन आयकर कटौती की कोई ऊपरी सीमा नहीं है जिसे आप सेक्शन 80E के तहत क्लेम कर सकते हैं, जबकि होम लोन की ऊपरी सीमा ₹2 लाख है जिसके लिए आप सेक्शन 24 के तहत होम लोन पर ब्याज के लिए कटौती का दावा कर सकते हैं। अगर आप होम लोन का 20 लाख रुपये पहले चुका देते हैं और ₹2 लाख के ब्याज भुगतान पर कटौती का दावा करते हैं, तो शेष राशि का इस्तेमाल इक्विटी MF में SIP शुरू करने के लिए किया जा सकता है।
