My close friend cheated on his wife. I am close friends with her too. They got divorced because he loved the other girl. I like my friend’s ex-wife and I proposed to her. Her family said yes but my family is not agreeing. What should I do?

If she is not willing to marry you, what can you do? She wants her parents also to be convinced, but that hasn't happened. Either you can wait and convey to her that you are willing to wait till she also is able to get her parents to agree. I don't see why she would not want you to wait.
So, talk to her once and tell her again about how you feel and that you are willing to wait. If she still asks you to forget her, then please move on...she would then have made her decision.

I am sorry I cannot tell you what you should do, but I can tell you that you have to handle this very carefully because it's a sensitive matter and involves too many people and their emotions. You can discuss the same with your family; you might be worried about upsetting them but at the end of the day, it's your life and you will have to live a long long time with the decisions you make. Sort your priorities- ask yourself these simple questions: what would hurt you more- hurting your parents and making your wife collateral damage because of your confusion or not living the rest of your life with the woman you love? Once you can answer these truthfully, it will be easier to make a choice.
