Dear Sir,I am a hypertensive and diabetic-I am having Olsar A40 in morning and Metalor 50 at night for BP--For diabetis i am having Glimisave M2 in morning and evening before food and zmelitis 50/500 post lunch. However my morming fasting sugar is always high-138 to 168 -PP post lunch id 98 to 100,,My lipids are ok-triglyceraids too ok-however my HbA1c is 7. 3 -I am on these medicines for quite long-BP still under control-please advise me sir

Ans: Hello. One method to understand when your sugars are going high and which foods are triggering it would be to wear a CGM (continuous glucose monitoring) for 2 weeks. This will give you all the information you need to adjust the medicines and make dietary changes as needed.

i am 45 yrs old with Controlled BP of 125/85 using TELVAS 3D,i am diabetic also for which i uses Zomelies MET50/500 BD,but my Sugar level in morning is always between 135-145.Plz suggest what to do as i have Grade-1 fatty Liver also.

Ans: Diet is most important. Have your dinner before 7 pm and always have a light dinner with complex Carb, no animal protein and no fat.
Improve your physical activity. Also address your stress

I m 67 years age and my hba1c is 10.2 and fasting sugar is 243 I m taking insulin 12 units of Novo Rapid flexi pen 3 times In a day morning, afternoon and night before food and Toujio 12 units at 5 pm.

Ans: It is advisable to consult your physician about your insulin dosage as your blood sugar levels are very out of range. Dietary modifications can include foods like complex carbohydrates like whole grains (brown rice, quinoa, oats), legumes, and vegetables. Include healthy fats like avocados, nuts, and olive oil and lean proteins like fish, poultry, tofu, and beans. Limit sugary foods, refined carbs, and saturated fats and stay physically active.

Ans: The reason for high post-prandial sugar is usually what u have eaten in the meal.

Try and reduce the carbs(roti/rice/bread) and include more protein in the meal.

Also, post meal 15-20min of relaxed walk also helps in managing the post-prandial blood sugars, along with the dietary changes

I am 66, worked in sales marketing and warehouse management for over 30 years in Southern African. Retired a year back and came to India. After sitting home for a year found it very difficult, boaring and health loosing, again felt a strong desire in me to do some work, will prefer work from home or out, for 5-6 hrs, again enabling me to spend a health enjoyable and active life.
