How much weight can be reduced by metformin 500 mg tablet which I am taking once in a day for prediabetic control as per doctor's prescription.

Ans: Hi

Please not that Metformin is not a right reduction medication. It helps manage the blood sugar level in diabetic condition.

My age is 47 years,weight is 85 kgs, Height is 165 cm. As doctor says after going through my FP,HBa1c report that I am at prediabetic stage and daily I am taking metformin 500 mg tablet as per prescription. How long should I continue to take this pills.

Ans: By modifying your lifestyle you can get off the medication
But this is a life long discipline

Hi. I'm 65 years young, non-smoker,weighing 92 kgs, height 175 cms, My HbA1c report dated 17/03/2024 is 7.5. ABG is 169. I'm advised by my physician to take Metformin IP 500mg twice a day for fifteen days. My Fasting Plasma Glucose 104.8 and PP is 90.9 (report dated 04/03/2024). Please comment.

Ans: You are overweight for your height. Ideal weight shoukd be in the range 75 kg. So please consider reducing your weight with certain dietary discipline. One most important one is early dinner by6pm

My HBA1C is 5.5 ,fasting sugar is 91 and PP is 110 taking Metformin 500 twice a day .I was told earlier that I have pre diabetes,fasting was 115 and HBA1C was 6.4 . Should Metformin 500 be reduced to once in a day?

Dear Sir, I am at prediabetic stage and as reffered by doctor I am taking daily 1 tablet of metformin 500 mg. My PP sugar level is below 200 and averagely 140 to 170. Should I continue to take tablet.

Ans: Please let me know what are your fasting and Pp blood sugar levels? what is your HbA1c?
Going by current information, you might need atleast twice metformin 500 mg alongside life style modifications. 140 to 170 pp is high and need more medication.

Hello sir this is Nishat , I passed my 12th in the year 2023 with a good percentage but however I couldn’t see it for chemistry exam. So obviously I failed in that subject so I decided to again reappear for that exam and in 2024 I gave betterment exam from my state board in the subject biology and chemistry. However I scored far better in biology than last time but (Chemistry) I don’t know maybe it’s it’s because of the issues that we have with our board. I couldn’t score good marks so even I had decided to give (Chemistry) separately and so in 2024. I again set for (Chemistry) exam under nios I and I scored 80 so now the thing is that I’ll be having two mark sheet so while applying in need I cannot possibly select the code 2 because although I already have the state board certificate but the NIOS certificate is not yet out and it will be out by end of the March sir can I possibly select the code one that is appearing or will it create problems while counselling or is there any other option please help me out sir , I’m very desperate like I have prepared for neey for the last two years and I don’t want to put my hard work into vain. Please Sir help me out

Please select code 1 without any fear. Focus more on your study. But considering your fear and anxiety with the chemistry subject, it is recommended that you choose other options than NEET. This time you appear without any fear.
