Dear Doctor I am 63 years and diabetic since 8 years. Since last two years FBS is between 120-130 and PP 170-180. HBa1c was below 7. In March I went for routine check up and my results are FBS 126, PP 176 and HBa1c is 7.5. I am taking Glycomet sr 500 twice and Omen 20 once for BP. My doctor told to bring down HBa1c to 7 but did not change the medicine. I walk for 45 minutes and yoga/pranayam regularly. My question is 1) is above sugar result(126 and 176) ok 2) how to keep down HBa1c 3) can I eat Oats in breakfast 4) can diabetic eat raisins 5) what food to avoid strictly Regards

Ans: 1.You have Impaired glucose tolerance
2.Increasing your phtsical activity will help a lot to regulate your sugar level
3.Oats with its Bran - Whole oats is good as a complex form of Carbohydrate
4.Raisins are a form of dried grapes. They do have fructose. So you can have them but in moderation
5.No refined Carb and white Sugar
