There are two person A and B , both have same age when they will study in their 1st year of bsc , A wants to do biotech and B wants to do food development and technology; now both have planned to do phd; so my question is that who among A and B will get more money or salary as a fresher (both in india and foreign) after completion of their phd and who will have better manageable life

Ans: As a fresher after a PhD in Biotechnology (A), the salary potential is generally higher than for a PhD in Food Development & Technology (B), especially abroad, because biotech is more closely linked to pharmaceuticals and biomedical research. In India, biotech PhD freshers usually earn slightly more than food tech PhDs. Abroad, the gap is wider, with biotech offering better-paid industry and research positions. However, B (Food Technology) often offers a more manageable and stable work–life balance, with predictable industry roles and less pressure compared to biotech, which can be more competitive and research-intensive.

But I would like to say one thing. The careers of A and B will depend on the skills they develop to cope with the changing industry. Even if they take any course, if they lag in computer knowledge and in adopting recent developments in AI technology, there will be a big question in front of them.

Learn computer and AI technology to achieve success either in India or abroad.

There are few reasons for the same:

1. Experienced staff have been in the job market for more time and, with time, their salary increases.

2. Experienced staff mostly get jobs that are more complex.

3. The quality of output delivered by experienced staff is usually superior.

4. Experienced staff act as formal/informal mentors to new employees.

Hi sir/madam, I have donr M Pharm in Pharmacy Practi e and currently working in Clinical Research field. Which PhD subject should I choose to get better oppourtunity and salary, either in India or outside India?

I would like to know which year you completed your PG and how many years of experience you have after completing it. You mentioned that you are currently working in the clinical research field. Kindly provide details about your role in this field before I comment.

I also want to clarify that in a PhD program, there are no specializations or subjects. Instead, you have to select a research topic. It would be beneficial to choose a topic relevant to your job. Is it possible to select subjects (volunteers or patients) while working?

MY SUGGESTION: If you want to pursue a PhD, consider doing it part-time instead of full-time. You can also enhance your skills in the field you are working in by performing trial-and-error methods.

sir i have done msc bsc in food technology in may 2024 after that i got job of 12000 to 15000 per month but i didnt take it and return to my home and did the internship in cova cola comapany after few months i got the opportunity to do project in iit kharagapur i stayed there for 8 months now this year in july 2025 i came back now i m confused that what should do i have three option in my mind 1. give gate do mtech then phd and become prefessor ( depends upon interest after doing mtech) 2. do a job in industry 3. or do mba because in food industry there is very less pay now i m confused in these three choises because there is drawbacks with every choise so for 1. choise if i m going to give gate the first issue is that i got 6 marks last year in gate 2025 so is this possible to qualify next year or suppose some how if i qualify then mtech then phd so there is a age concern i turned 26 this year by completing phd i turned 32 now drwaback with 2. choise is that industry pay very less growth there is very steady very slow and drawback with 3. choise is that for mba now i have to prepare for cat, gmat etc. and my english is not very good and also mba fees is also very high ........now what is the best option according to you

Ans: Can take up a job and simultaneously prepare for entrance exam either MBA or GATE. Based on what you have written MBA could be a better option.

Sir I have passed class 12 with maths as an additional subject, can i possibly take admission in NITs

Ans: Yes, you can take admission to NITs only if you had Maths as a core subject and qualify JEE Main. However, having it merely as an additional subject may make you ineligible, depending on your board’s subject classification. It is highly recommended to check the brochure published by NTA on its official website for any updates to the admission criteria or changes in the admission process.

My wisdom tooth is biting into my cheek. I am 41 but the tooth is still growing. It is causing a lot of discomfort. At what age does wisdom teeth stop growing? Should I fix it or get it removed? Pls suggest. I have already spent a lot of money trying to fix it every few years.

Ans: Hello

Wisdom teeth usually "stop growing" by the age of 25, provided they are properly aligned and there's sufficient space for them to erupt. But, more often than not, they are not properly aligned or there may not be enough space for them.
Curiously, teeth never actually stop growing unless there's something blocking their growth. Like an opposing tooth, for instance. If an upper tooth is extracted and not replaced with an artificial tooth, the opposing lower tooth can theoretically keep growing into the empty space above.
Your wisdom tooth is improperly aligned and hence will continue to grow indefinitely.
Since you mentioned that it's been troubling you for several years, my advice would be to get it extracted

Hi Sir, I am 46 years old with a Wife and a daughter (12 years old). Planning to retire by age of 50. Current net worth includes - Stock Market portfolio (including Stocks, MFs, PMS) - INR 3 CR, 2 Flats worth INR 4.5 CR without any home loans. Long Term investments like NPS, Sukanya Samruddhi, LIC, EPF/PPF etc - 1 CR, FDs- 20L, Gold (Physical +ETF) - 70L. Current Monthly expenses - 60-70K per month. Now, I understand that my daughter's Graduation and PG education expenses may cost anywhere around 1CR (inflation included). Also the medical/health expenses will be required too. Considering all of the above, how do you recommend I can plan for retiring at 50? I do plan to stay invested in equities for long term even after retirement. Thanks for your advice.

However, You have not shared your current income details at present, Passive income after proposed retirement age and whether any of your house property has been rented out. Also not given monthly investments etc. Hence unable to offer my comments on overall financial position. It is suggested to connect with a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and share your full details and discuss your life goals etc. CFP and you both can sit together and arrive at a proper retirement planning. My wisdom tooth isn't hurting, but food keeps getting stuck and the area smells bad. Google scared me with infection stories, while some people say don’t remove it unless there’s pain. I’m genuinely confused. Should wisdom teeth be removed proactively or only when they cause problems?

Ans: Hello

I understand why you’re worried - food getting trapped and a foul smell can be very unsettling, but no pain doesn’t automatically mean you can avoid a dentist's visit. If the tooth is partially erupted or impacted, it creates a pocket where bacteria thrive, which explains the odor and can lead to gum inflammation or a low?grade infection. Many dentists recommend _proactive_ removal when they see a high risk of future issues (crowding, decay, cysts) even without pain. On the flip side, if it’s fully erupted, easy to clean, and not messing with your bite, your dentist might just monitor it and suggest a good hygiene regimen (floss, mouthwash, water?flosser).

My advice is to get an X?ray and a dentist’s opinion. If they spot infection signs, cysts, or trouble cleaning, they’ll likely suggest extraction. If it’s clean and you can keep it infection?free, you can wait and watch.

I brush twice a day and floss most nights, but I still keep getting cavities. My dentist says it could be my enamel or saliva, which honestly confused me. I also drink lemon water every morning thinking it’s healthy.

You're one of very few people I know who brush and floss their teeth regularly. Keep it up!
It's important to note, however, that your brushing technique is also very important. Not just how frequently you brush.
It's possible your enamel is weak or poorly calcified which could be the reason why you keep getting cavities. If you had a calcium deficiency during childhood - when your teeth were developing - it's likely that your tooth enamel is hypocalcified and hence more prone to decay.
Saliva, like your dentist suggested, can also play a role. Acidic saliva can erode and weaken tooth enamel.
Fresh lime has a similar harmful effect on your teeth. You should at least rinse your mouth thoroughly after drinking lime water so that traces of it don't remain.
