Tell him to focus 100% on JEE preparation.
Don't recommend him for engaging in any of the short-term courses.
As a father, you might be able to fulfill his financial needs at least for 2 years.
After the JEE exam is over, think about joining AI related short course.
Ask him to clear the JEE (Main) and JEE (Adv) with high rank to get admission to the topmost IIT with AI branch.

Ans: Hi Chetann. Congratulations on getting a seat in JMU @ VLSI. You have not mentioned his current score i.e. JEE 2024. Taking a drop would be recommended under special conditions. Existing Score, financial condition, success rate, the patience of the student during repeat etc, etc. Very few students succeeded after taking the drop. The failure rate is almost 99.99%. Taking a drop would be your self-risk. VLSI is also a good option over CSE. But talk with your son very closely. Take the opinion of honest teachers who taught him and take the decision to go for JEE 2025.
