I was supposed to give class 12th exams in 2024 but due to an accident wasn't able to do so Then I reappeared for 12th in 2025 as a private candidate and passed the exams Am I eligible for jee advanced 2026 ?
Ans: Yes, you are eligible for JEE (Adv). Your passing year will be considered 2025. You can attempt JEE (Adv) in two consecutive years, i.e., 2025 and 2026, provided you have not appeared for 2024.
Good luck.

Sir so a senior clarified that jee advanced requires the year of the student's first time class 12th presence not the year of successful attempt, so unfortunately i ain't eligible for jee advanced 2026
Ans: If you attempted 12th in 2024 and either passed or failed, then you won't be eligible for the 2026 JEE (Adv). However, if you did not appear for 12th in 2024 due to certain reasons and are appearing for 12th in 2025 as a fresh candidate, then you will be eligible for JEE (Adv) in 2025 and 2026. For further clarification, download the brochure of JEE (Adv) to know the eligibility criteria, or call the helpline, or write an email to NTA asking for the eligibility criteria.
Reality to digest hard- Truly speaking, almost 95% of students waste their precious time thinking about JEE (Adv). Only a few are qualified for JEE (Adv) among the lacs, and even though they clear JEE (Adv), many of them do not choose low-tier IITs. If you are confident you can stand among the top 2000-5000, then think of JEE (Adv).

I got 97%ile in 2025, so I took drop hoping I may be eligible for jee advanced 2026 but I am not, I have clarified this even though I was absent in 24 board exams but still this only counts as first year of appearance doesn't matter student passed/failed/or got compartments
Ans: Unable to help you. Your question/query is not clear. Please clarify: (1) Have you appeared for 12th 2024? (Yes/No) (2) Have to appear for JEE 2024? (Yes/No). I have already responded to your queries in detail. If it's still unclear, it is better to contact a nearby counselor or, as mentioned earlier, download the JEE (Adv) brochure to understand the eligibility criteria, or call the helpline, or email NTA to ask about the eligibility criteria without wasting your time.

I didn't appeared in jee 2024 or boards 2024 but still as per the rules of jee advanced conducting body 2024 will be considered as my first appearance in boards because I was registered for the exams by the school, doesn't matter the student passed or failed or anything else
Jee advanced asks for the year in which student appeared for class 12 exams ( means the year he was supposed to give the exam )
I mistook it as the year in which passed 12th exams both terms are entirely different, this doubt was clarified by a famous physics teacher of "compeitushun" in one of his videos
Ans: Now it is clear to me:
In your case, you registered in 2024, which counts as your first attempt. Therefore, your eligible attempts for JEE Advanced are only in 2024 and 2025. This means you will not be eligible for JEE Advanced in 2026. With your 97th percentile in 2025, you can use it for JEE Advanced 2025, but not for 2026, as that is outside your eligibility period.
Requesting you to stop our Q/A here. To remove all the complexity from your mind, I once again request you to download the brochure of JEE (Adv) to know the eligibility criteria, or call the helpline, or write an email to NTA asking for the eligibility criteria.
