Dear Mr. Krishna Kumar....This is sandhu here....I have been working in the logistics industry for about 25 years. My initial requirement was to learn from the front end since I was working in the back operations...hence I moved on to another county worked in 2 companies a freight forwarder and a distributor...and I am now working in the gulf with the second company (Distributor of world-class brand in electronics ) for about 17 years and growth seems to be completely stalled in terms of position. I am right now in a middle management position however looking for management position for about 17 years but does not seem to be working. Really do not know what should I do and looking for more expert advise...should I change to teaching filed....I am completely stationary in terms of growth prospects.

Feeling stagnated in work or life is a normal that we all need to embrace. Many a times this feeling comes more out of peer pressure than our own.

Firstly, please define what growth means to you...role & responsibilities, position, salary, team size, value creation.

Secondly, do an honest assessment for self in each of the above areas and see where you think you are not growing.

Thirdly, ask yourself what is it that you want to do, if you feel for teaching then go for it but if it is a compromise because you feel you are not growing then I would suggest don't.

Fourthly, take up some courses that can enhance your skill sets.

Lastly, assess your own needs and wants at the stage of life you are in, talk to your family and see if what you have is good enough to live a peaceful and contented life.

I am 35 year old and holding 5+ years of experience in various domains after completing Deploma in Mech Engg QA-1year(automobile industry 2011-12). 2012-2018-- Degree in Mechanical Engg. Meanwhile due to financial issues I had work with 2/3 companies for short time of period and left because of Exams, whatever work like service engineer and Quality related work I attended. After completing my Graduation in Mechanical Engg I rejoin small firm which was dealer and distribution industry for metal cutting tools. due to convid these company was shutdown and then 2021 I switched to BPO industry and now from April 2023 to till date I am working in Supply chain Management in Infosys as a Sr Executive now could you please advise what should I do because it's really challenging to adapt new skills with less salary I am unable to take risk of new learning. And also facing money problems as now I have to run entire family shall I have to start any business or what should I do to save and retrack my career?

In my opinion, you should continue to develop your expertise in supply chain management. Given your current role at Infosys, aim to gain more responsibilities and prove your value within the organization. You may also consider obtaining supply chain management certifications like APICS (now ASCM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or Six Sigma. These can increase your marketability and potential for promotions or salary increases.

Stay updated with industry trends and continue learning to adapt to changing market demands.

Now the issue is growth wise & salary is very less at this age & second thing I am changing the job 2 years or 3 month growth wise & salary less. I am bit less smart & communication is less . Ans: Based on your son's 99.71 percentile, he has a strong chance of becoming a good ranker in JEE Advanced as well. If he scores well there, IIT admission can be his first preference.

With a JEE Main All India Rank (AIR) around 4,700 and 99.71 percentile, your son can realistically target CSE in several NITs, especially under the West Bengal home-state quota. Typically, top NIT CSE closing ranks range between 1,500 and 5,000—for example, recent CSE closing ranks include NIT Trichy at 1,449, Surathkal at 1,827, Warangal at 2,409, Rourkela at 3,431, Calicut at 5,222, and MNNIT Allahabad at 4,594.

For West Bengal home-state candidates, NIT Durgapur CSE is a strong and realistic target, and your son may also secure ECE, EEE, or IT branches at other NITs depending on the round and seat availability.

Jee score is best of two attempts right? Sir seeing my ward score card has caused some confusion as tw of higher scores and one lower score( despite one higher score being available )is considered for computing final percentile.Can you please help resolve this

Ans: Yes, for JEE Main, the final result considers the better overall percentile from either of the two attempts, not a combination of the highest subject-wise percentiles from both.

So, if one attempt shows a higher total percentile but the scorecard reflects a lower one being used, it means the final merit is based on the best overall NTA percentile after normalization. The subject-wise percentiles are displayed separately for information but are not independently used to determine the final rank. So, best overall attempt counts, not best subject-wise combination. It is gastro colic reflex and reduces as age increases. If the stools are normal in consistency then nothing to worry. But if bulky, foul smelling then test for celiac disease

Ans: Swarupa Madam, With an EWS rank of 8,180 and a 96.45 percentile, your son has a good chance of admission to several NIT, IIIT, and GFTI programs. However, securing top CSE seats at premier NITs and IIITs remains challenging. Recent JoSAA data shows that IIITM Gwalior's CSE closes around rank 8,044 in the general/all-India category, while ECE and related branches at newer IIITs often close at higher ranks, making them more attainable options. For NITs, CSE admission at top campuses is highly competitive, but ECE or other lower-demand branches at newer NITs and GFTIs could be realistic.

For VIT Vellore or Chennai, CSE admission depends on a strong VITEEE rank, as JEE Main ranks are not considered there.

It is advisable to keep backup options such as IIITM Gwalior, IIIT Nagpur, IIITDM Jabalpur, NITs for lower-demand branches, and reputable private colleges like VIT, LNCT, SGSITS, and LNMIIT, depending on the entrance exam route.
