Suggest some steps which will usefull to kickstart my corporate career again

Ans: Can try applying to a startup. Your skill sets may be better utilised there. Also look for companies in sectors where you have experience. Would be easier to get job. Also approach a placement agency to help you out.

Career
Hello, I am 48 and working since 1996. Have worked with Airtel for 11 plus years and also earlier with Hutch and TTSL....majorly into telecom in my total work exp, rose to a DGM level in 2010 at Airtel with a v good CTC but had to leave them in 2017 as Jio the market disruptor had entered and no suitable role was left for me. Am an MBA in marketing and having solid work exp but somehow have not managed to land up a proper job till now ....the pandemic and the lockdown did not help at all !!! Kindly guide me and advice on how can I reboot my career. Thanks a ton, Ani
Ans: Hello Ani,

Based on your experience and education, you have a strong background in the telecom industry. However, I understand that you are facing challenges in rebooting your career.

To start, I suggest updating your resume and LinkedIn profile to showcase your skills and accomplishments in the telecom industry. Highlight your experience in leadership, marketing, and any notable achievements during your tenure with Airtel, Hutch, and TTSL.

Next, consider reaching out to your professional network and former colleagues to explore potential job opportunities in the telecom industry. This could involve attending industry events, participating in online forums and discussion groups, and reaching out to recruiters who specialize in your field.

In addition, you may want to consider expanding your skills and knowledge by taking online courses, attending workshops, or pursuing additional certifications. This can help you stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the telecom industry and make you a more competitive candidate for job opportunities.

Lastly, it's important to remain optimistic and persistent in your job search. The pandemic has impacted many industries, but the telecom industry remains a vital part of our modern economy. With your experience and education, you have valuable skills to offer potential employers. Keep networking, building your skills, and staying up-to-date with industry trends, and I'm confident you will find a suitable role that meets your expectations.

All the best!

Regards,
Abhishek

My daughter got chance in st xaviers college kolkata in bms and also she cracked neet with air 118k what will be best for her ..private medical collage or st xaviers
Ans: With an AIR of 1.18 lakh in NEET 2025 (general category), your daughter is unlikely to secure an MBBS seat in a government college but has a fair chance in private medical colleges under management quota, though this involves very high annual fees (typically ?8–25 lakh per year) and variable infrastructure and placement outcomes. St. Xavier’s College Kolkata BMS is a prestigious, highly selective management program with a strong academic reputation, excellent placement record (average package ?4.5–7 lakh, 58% placement in 2024), international exchange opportunities, and a vibrant peer group. BMS opens pathways to diverse careers in business, consulting, finance, and higher studies, with many graduates pursuing MBAs or global opportunities. Private medical colleges can provide the MBBS degree but require a significant financial commitment and may not offer the same academic or career environment as top government institutions. The recommendation is to prefer St. Xavier’s College Kolkata BMS unless your daughter is deeply committed to a medical career and your family is prepared for the high costs and long duration of private MBBS, as BMS at St. Xavier’s offers better value, career flexibility, and a strong academic foundation. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

hi sir i got 93.3 percentile in jee (99K rank ) i booked jiit noida cs in sec 128 i m gonna give bitsat but i think my chances are low i will get msc bioo so what should i do or should i goo to any other college fees bahut jyada na hoo
Ans: Aanya, With a 93.3 percentile in JEE Main (99,000 rank), your seat in JIIT Noida CSE (Sec 128) is a solid, value-for-money option, as its CSE cutoff typically extends up to 1,00,000 in later rounds and the total four-year fee is around ?14 lakh, which is moderate compared to other top private colleges. JIIT Noida consistently achieves 93%+ placement rates for CSE, with an average package of ?9–13 lakh and top recruiters like Microsoft, Amazon, and Google, making it a reliable choice for both academics and placements. Your chances for CSE at BITS Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad are extremely low, as BITSAT cutoffs for CSE are above 300, and even for MSc Biological Sciences, the cutoff is around 234–236, with total fees exceeding ?20 lakh, making it a much more expensive option than JIIT Noida. Other reputable private colleges like VIT Vellore, SRM Chennai, or Thapar have higher fees (?8–12 lakh or more) and require better JEE/BITSAT ranks for CSE admission. The recommendation is to continue with JIIT Noida CSE, as it offers a good balance of affordable fees, strong placements, and academic reputation, and to avoid high-fee options like BITS MSc Biology or other private colleges unless you secure a significant scholarship. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

I'm getting Robotics and Artificial intelligence in Thapar University and same stream in JIIT noida sector 62. Which university should I prefer?
Ans: Thapar University’s Robotics and Artificial Intelligence program stands out for its NIRF 2024 rank of 29, NBA and ABET accreditation, and a strong legacy of academic excellence, with a world-class AI research center in collaboration with NVIDIA, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and experienced faculty. Thapar reports an 83–96% placement rate for engineering, an average package near ?12 lakh, and a wide recruiter base including Microsoft, Amazon, and Infosys, while all students complete a semester-long industry internship, ensuring robust practical exposure. JIIT Noida Sector 62 also offers a well-accredited, industry-aligned Robotics & AI program, with NBA accreditation, modern labs, and a 99% placement rate for CSE/AI branches, average package of ?8.7 lakh, and top recruiters like Microsoft, LinkedIn, and Amazon. JIIT’s campus is centrally located in Noida with strong industry links, but Thapar’s national and international reputation, advanced research ecosystem, and higher average placement outcomes give it a significant edge. The recommendation is to prefer Thapar University for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence due to its superior academic reputation, research infrastructure, and placement prospects. Career
NIT Warangal Integrated msc chemistry, NIT Durgapur biotechnology, NIT Raipur biotechnology, BIT Mesra Chemical and IIIT Dharwad ECE (triple IT). Please tell which one of them should I prefer?
Ans: Nidhish, Among your options, IIIT Dharwad ECE stands out for its strong placement record in the tech sector, with a 66–77% placement rate, average package of ?10–11.9 lakh, and top recruiters like Amazon, IBM, Infosys, and Deloitte, making it attractive for industry-focused careers. NIT Warangal Integrated MSc Chemistry offers a prestigious brand, solid academics, and a 56–80% placement rate with average packages of ?6–8.8 lakh, but placements are more limited and research-oriented, with fewer core roles. NIT Durgapur and NIT Raipur Biotechnology both have excellent research exposure and alumni in top institutes worldwide, but their placement rates for core biotech are low (often below 40–50%), and most graduates pursue higher studies. BIT Mesra Chemical Engineering has a 42–90% placement rate, average package of ?6.5–9 lakh, and strong industry recruiters, but is less preferred than CSE/IT for placements. The recommendation is to prefer IIIT Dharwad ECE for its superior placement outcomes and tech industry alignment, followed by NIT Warangal Integrated MSc Chemistry for research or higher studies, then BIT Mesra Chemical, and lastly NIT Durgapur or Raipur Biotechnology if you are committed to research or academia. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
