Hello,
I'm Swagato Ghose, 32, from Kolkata. During the pandemic and because of lockdown, I lost my job. I'm a marketing professional and worked for a print and packaging company based in Hyderabad.
The situation is very difficult because, even after trying hard for the past two to three months, nothing positive is materialising.
No organisations revert after the interview process and the salary offered during the interview time is negligible when compared to what I was getting before this lockdown happened.
It's getting unbearable and I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown as the future seems absolutely uncertain.
I'm badly looking for a decent opportunity, but there seems to be very little hope in these tough times as it looks like the recruitment has frozen in most of the good companies.
I am really worried about the future and don't know how my professional career is going to shape up.
How do I survive this phase?

Ans: He can prepare for or appear in government competitive exams like SSC CGL, SSC JE (after degree), MPSE/UPSC Civil Services, and start internships such as DRDO or other research internships. Now, plan for GATE for PSU jobs. You should not worry about your son because students studying engineering are acquainted with these exams. Ask him to keep updated about the exams. If possible, ask him to go through the employment news (https://employmentnews.gov.in/) to stay informed. Develop the habit of reading the employment advertisements published in the top English newspapers to learn about the latest requirements in the tech field (as government jobs are uncertain).

No, you are not wrong to expect to support or comfort you. But, simply asking him to stay away from people isn't going to solve anything. If anything, he's going to think that he is being controlled.
Instead, why don't you tell him exactly how you feel when that person is around you. Let him see what the other person and says and how that makes you feel; this can happen when you are face to face with that person and your husband also sees what exactly is happening.
Now, you may ask why you need to do so much to get it to your husband's notice; this is because despite you telling him, he has ignored it...so, you are having to take the longer route...
