I got 7935 rank in kcet i got cse-aiml in siddaganga tumkuru Should i select it or wait for second round

"My take-home salary is ₹1.7 lakh per month, and I sold my plot for a capital gain of ₹30 lakh. Please let me know how much of it will be taxable. I am also planning to construct a house, so please suggest how I can reduce my tax."

Ans: If you are constructing an house and if it gets completed within 3 years from the date of sale of plot, then you can claim exemption from capital gain of plot. Till the construction starts, you need to keep the sale proceeds in the capital gain scheme account.
You need to consult CA to arrive at capital gain, its investment so that exemption can be claimed etc.

I am a retired person having incomes from pension, interests and occasional capital gains which are received in my savings bank account with me as first holder and my wife as joint hloder.These incomes are duly account in my ITR.My wife has separate interest income (small amount) from individual single SB AC in her name.As my wife turns 60, I plan to take a SCSS in her name (me as joint holder);from my retirement savings parked in our joint account.Can I add interest income from this SCSS (recd in joint account with me as first holder) in my ITR or is it necessary to file separate ITR for my wife for the same?

Ans: According to clubbing provision, the Interest on SCSS though in her name shall be considered to be your income. You need to disclose it in your ITR

Sir, my son has got KCET rank 5650 and Comedk rank 7584. He wants to do Btech ECE. Which college he can get and would be best for him in Bangalore for general merit?

I am in vit chennai.so i am going to my second year.recently i got a chance to change from fashion technology to mechatronics and autoomation.i plan on changing because i am not that interested in fashion tech and i am quite interested in mechatronics.but i am not sure if this decison will be right or wrong.what should i do?

Ans: If you are genuinely interested in robotics/systems, **switch to Mechatronics & Automation**. Staying in Fashion Tech with low interest will hurt long-term growth and placements. Switch only after confirming the curriculum, workload, and placement outcomes before the final decision. (You have to cover the 1st-year extra syllabus as well.) Many students do this kind of exercise in the 2nd year. You can also be one of them. No harm in shifting from one branch to another while keeping your interest in learning alive.

My daughter has got JEE advanced Rank 6062, Mains 3454 and have qualified IIITH UGEE and her BITSAT score is 290. Based on her advance rank she can get IITD Chemical or engineering physics, IIT Roorkee electrical IIT Guwahati Electronics and Electrical, IIT BHU Electronics. She has option to join IIITH 4or 5 year ECE/CSE or can get BITS Pilani ECE. She does not want to join CSE branches, She has preference for EC and also don't want to lose on IIT Delhi opportunity. Please guide the best option for her.

Ans: Best balanced choice: IIT Delhi (Chemical or Engineering Physics) > IIT Roorkee Electrical ≈ IIT Guwahati EEE ≈ IIT BHU ECE > IIIT Hyderabad (ECE) ≈ BITS Pilani ECE. If IIT Delhi is available, it should be preferred even over EC at IIITH/BITS. Please decide the preferred branch first, then consider the distance of the IIT from your hometown, to make a wise decision. Even though we have given the preference order, it is not mandatory for you to follow it. Before making any final decision, give preference to your branch interest. The final choice/decision will be yours.
