My son is doing in II BSc Physics (Hons) in Bangalore in a residential college. At the end of each semester he ends up with two backlogs. This time he has three backlogs and therefore he was not promoted to IIIrd of BSc. He feels very dejected since he says after putting efforts he is unable to clear whereas he is of the view that his classmate with low efficiency than him has cleared the exams. I was having hope that after his third BSC he may pursue in some foreign university. The hopes are being dashed for both of us as a father as well as my son. In the process he will be losing one year. Please guide whether he will be treated as the same candidate as BSC Physics after fourth year if he wants to pursue his MSc Physics or related subject to get admission in India as well as in some foreign university.

I am in last semester of BE civil engineering. And I don't know what to do next. My family is suggesting me to prepare for government exam and I am little convinced by it. But I want to do job as I want to be financially independent as soon as possible and support my family. I don't want to be feel like burden. What should I do Go for government exam preparation Or should I pursue some software courses Or should I study further as I have interest in interior design Or should I look for job

Sir, I am 73 years old and a retired pensioner. I have invested Rs11 lakhs 3 months ago in stocks comprising of ITC, Reliance, SBI and Coal India. Except SBI, the remaining 3 stocks are now down by about 7.5 to 15% on its investment value. The current overall unrealised loss is about Rs1 lakh. I am also investing in mutual fund and ETF on SIP mode, which are also in red. Since, the market has a bear run now, kindly suggest whether to exist now or to wait for the market to recover. My time time horizon is short term considering my age.

49 years old female school teacher. I want to invest ?5 lakh lumpsum that would fetch me good returns in 2 or 3 years. Please suggest a good investment avenue. I need this amount to fund my son's education who is in grade 9 right now. Apart from this, I also tried my hand in MF- I invest ?15k every month in SBI Bluechip fund direct, 10k in Canara Rebeco Bluechip fund direct, 5k in UTI NIFTY Index Fund direct, 5k in Axis midcap growth direct plan, 5k in Mirae asset largecap fund direct, 20k in NPS monthly. Apart from this, i had also invested ?1 lakh lump sum in SBI equity hybrid fund ?1 lakh, axis multicap direct fund ? 1 lakh, and quant small cap direct plan ?50,000. None of the last three lumpsum investments are doing well. They are showing negative returns. I have three questions for which i am looking answers for: 1) where should i invest lumpsum of ? 5 lakh now 2) the three lumpsum investments in quant smallcap, axis multicap and sbi equity hybrid - should i continue remaining invested 3) are the monthly sips and nps investments amounting to ?55 fine. I intend to work for another 5-6 years.

Hi, This is Shailesh Prasad. I have a PPF account with SBI and was extended for two blocks of 5 years, after initial period of 15 years. The last block of 5 years have matured in Mar2023. Now the SBI wants me to close the account, and i want to continue the account without any contribution, since not done last year, till the time i require the monies. Hi Sir, my age is 34. I need your assistance to evalute and guide me in right direction. I am salried working in IT. I have personal loan of 20L (50K emi), plot loan 4.9L (10k emi), hand loan 5L and Gold loan 6L. I have a plot valued ~18L, another land Valued around 40L, and one more valued around 20L. Doing SIP of 7L in Axis bluechip MF(1.6L total value now) , 5K in small cap. Got around 13L in PF as of now. Got 90k in stocks ( all blue chip) Paying 35K rent. Now i am planning to buy a land and build a house in my hometown. Should i be considering closing loans first or build a house? Should i look at selling property to close loans? Kindly suggest.
