Dear Sir/ Madam. I am 46 years old working in a reputed organisation. I have around 24 years experience and have worked in big Multinational companies. My job is technical job and have earned and saved good money. I earn a monthly take home salary of Rs. 3 lakh currently . I can crack easily any interviews as my communication is very good. But I find it very difficult to perform technical job due to limitation in grasping things. I was a below average student as I find it very difficult to remember. I do drama in work place and survived 24 years. Because of this I am very unhappy. But now I am in a stage where I want to be myself and be happy without being afraid in work place. How can I improve so that I go to work and come back happily. Thanks for your advice in advance.

3. Do practise some meditation or yoga as that will help you increase your concentration.

4. Keep your cell phone away from you when at work; check it once, for five minutes, every hour.

5. Find a good mentor at work with whom you can share your concerns openly.

6. Engage in your hobbies.

7. Get good quality sleep.

I am applying for thapar IEP programs but i have a very low jee percentile (53%ile) and i have 60% in boards in PCM, do i stand a chance of getting in a thapar 2+2 program? i am aware that the cutoffs for these programs would go low but i am afraid that my score is too low to clear even the IEP cutoffs

Ans: Chances are low but not zero. But keep other options ready as a backup. It is advisable to consider other options other than Thapar, which is fairly costlier than the others.

Hi Good day, my son has scored CRL 36600 in JEE Mains 2026, general category without any quote. We are looking for following options i.e. CSE in Thapar (Patiala) or Mechanical (BITS-Pilani). My son is confused which one to go as he like BITS Pilani considering the Alumni network and the Start-up culture whereas he is also inclined towards CSE branch. Please advise which one is a better choice considering good career prospects. Further, any other better options we can consider in terms of NIT or IIIT?

Ans: Prefer CSE @ Thapar over Mech @ BITS (for better career prospects (placements + flexibility). Yet, the final choice will be yours. Else try with lower NITs and with few IIITs @ CSE/Mechanical/ECE

Ans: You have not mentioned your son's home state. Given his rank, securing a CSE seat in NITs may be challenging, but admission to ECE in some NITs and CSE/IT/ECE in several IIITs is more realistic, especially during the later JoSAA and CSAB rounds. Consider applying to IIIT Una, IIIT Kottayam, IIIT Dharwad, IIIT Kalyani, IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT Raichur, IIIT Manipur, and IIIT Agartala. For ECE, newer and mid-tier NITs and IIITs are good options. The CSAB special rounds are crucial as they fill vacant seats after JoSAA. Ans: Admission to top NITS/IIITs seems unlikely. You can try lower-ranked govt colleges/IIITs or state colleges for CSE, or consider other branches in NITs via CSAB.
