Hi Sir, My son is interested only in civil engineering. He got 44+ rank in VITEEE got allotment in category 1 for Civil engineering with L and t collaboration. Amrita viswavidyapeeth 15K, Manipal 17k. With Kcet rank can we plan for Bangalore colleges? Because of less competition he will get in any one of those? When I enquired about Bangalore top colleges, students feedback about Civil is not so good. Which one is best for Civil engineering? Can you please advise.

Ans: Hello dear.
It would be better to go with KCET and plan for Bangalore colleges. It is not true that the civil branch receives bad feedback from all the colleges. There might either be a problem with the faculty or with the students as well. Nowadays, top-class students prefer CSE or computer-related branches, and those who do not gain admission to these branches often choose Civil not from the bottom of their hearts. Hence, they do not perform well in Civil. If your son is genuinely interested in Civil, then choose a preferred top-class engineering college and encourage him to give his 100% in the course. Ask him to gain expertise in computer-aided drawing and design and to master AI tools. The sky is the limit in Civil. Best of luck to your son.

Can you please recommend some top colleges in Bangalore for Civil engineering which is better than VIT Vellore with regards to placement , exposure and infrastructure so that it will help us in opting for the same in KCET

Hello Nayagam Sir...I really find your analytical and detailed suggestions for opting for colleges very well formulated and comprehensive. My son is in class 12 and going to appear for cbse 12 next year and also preparing for JEE. As a mother I will be the happiest if he makes it to an NIT or any reputed engineering college. But in the worst case, if his JEE mains score or KCET scores aren't good....is it advisable to go for a general degree course in Science or opt for any private engineering colleges he gets through? Please can you also advise on the institutions in and around Bangalore as per your rankings. Also, please advise on the scope and viability of other branches than CS. Many thanks Tania Das

आप पीसीबी + आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस के बाद भी कंप्यूटर साइंस में बी.टेक कर सकते हैं, लेकिन प्रक्रिया थोड़ी अलग है क्योंकि अधिकांश कॉलेजों में नियमित बी.टेक कंप्यूटर साइंस के लिए गणित अनिवार्य है। आप एनआईओएस (या सीबीएसई प्राइवेट) से गणित परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण कर सकते हैं, लेकिन आईआईटी, एनआईटी और IIIT में प्रवेश संभव नहीं होगा क्योंकि इनमें नियमित 12वीं में गणित अनिवार्य है, इसलिए इनमें प्रवेश सीमित रहता है।

आप किसी अन्य बोर्ड से 12वीं की परीक्षा दे सकते हैं।

मुझे QIB के तहत शेयर आवंटित किए गए हैं। लेकिन आवंटन राशि अधिक थी। मैं लगभग 80 प्रतिशत ही भुगतान कर पाया, शेष 20 प्रतिशत का भुगतान करने में मुझे धन की कमी हो रही है। आवंटन स्टैंडर्ड चार्टर्ड सिक्योरिटीज इंडिया लिमिटेड के माध्यम से हुआ है। क्या वे जुर्माना काटकर राशि वापस करेंगे? आगे क्या करना चाहिए? क्या मैं एक विश्वसनीय कंपनी के साथ लेन-देन कर रहा हूँ?

Ans: नहीं, यह एक घोटाला है। आईपीओ में आंशिक भुगतान जैसी कोई अवधारणा नहीं है।

नमस्कार सर, आईपीओ के शेयर आवंटित हो चुके हैं और लगभग 15% राशि अवरुद्ध है। फंड की कमी के कारण मैं शेष राशि का भुगतान करने में असमर्थ हूं। यदि मैं भुगतान नहीं करता/करती हूं तो क्या होगा? क्या अवरुद्ध राशि जारी कर दी जाएगी या कोई जुर्माना लगेगा?

Ans: आईपीओ के लिए न्यूनतम राशि ब्लॉक करने जैसी कोई अवधारणा नहीं है, यह एक घोटाला है, कृपया ऐसे आवेदनों से दूर रहें और अपनी मेहनत की कमाई बचाएं।
