Ans: NITs like NIT Manipur, NIT Nagaland, NIT Mizoram, NIT Arunachal Pradesh (ECE or CSE depending on cutoff and seat availability)

IIITs such as IIIT Sonepat, IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT Una, IIIT Ranchi

Other good state government colleges or private universities that accept JEE Mains scores.

Ans: IIIT Hyderabad — especially for branches related to CS, Electronics, Computational Math, or interdisciplinary fields.

NIT Warangal — strong academics and research, especially for Electrical, Electronics, and Mathematics.

NIT Surathkal — good placements and solid faculty for EE/ECE.

I have 222xx rank in JEE mains (98.5%ile, Gen Male), and I want to pursue any branch that focuses on mathematics and electronics, for example MnC, EE, ECE, EIE, etc. and I wanted to know more branches that are mathematics heavy. For example, I've heard from my seniors that Engineering Physics has a lot of advanced maths, which is not obvious to us students who have just passed class 12. Another thing I've heard, MnC syllabus varies drastically among colleges and colleges offer both BSc and BTech. These small things would matter a lot in the future. My questions: 1. What other branches focus on math mainly? 2. I can apply for BTech in Computational Mathematics and BSc in Mathematics and Computing in NIT Agartala. What's the difference? 3. I have a chance of getting Integrated MSc in Mathematics at NIT Warangal. How viable is that option?

Ans: For a balanced mix of engineering, electronics, and math, ECE, EE, MnC, or Computational Mathematics BTech are great options.

If you want deep math theory and research, go for Integrated MSc or BSc in Math & Computing.

Check detailed syllabi of each program, as curricula and career prospects differ across colleges.

With 81,146 rank in vit .. which branchhes an I get in vit vellore ..is it worth it?

Ans: With 81,146 rank in VIT, getting a top branch like CSE or ECE at VIT Vellore is unlikely. You may get branches like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or other core engineering branches depending on seat availability.

Is it worth it? VIT is a good private university with decent placements, especially in top branches. But with this rank, you might get less preferred branches where placements and packages could be average.

If you want strong placements and core CSE/ECE, you might want to explore other options or try state quota/private universities closer to your home with better chances.

Ans: With 92.6 percentile in JEE Main and OBC-NCL category, your daughter does have a chance to get an ECE seat in some NITs, especially in the home state or nearby states, but it might be in the lower-ranked NITs or the ones with higher opening ranks for OBC-NCL candidates.

Ans: If your son is interested in a mix of electrical and computer science, with a growing field like AI/ML, VIT Chennai is a strong choice.

If he prefers pure Computer Science with a more software/programming focus, KIIT CSE is very good.

Also, consider the COMEDK result before finalizing — sometimes good options open up there.
