Hello,My name is Panduran, age 60.Two years back I have undergone cervical surgery to C2 to C5 . Before surgery I was having numbness and weakness in both the palm and arms.After surgery my left hand is very stiff and I am feeling heavy ness on my left shoulder.Doctor says I have to bear this pain I am on prescribed medicines since two years.Pl advise.

Hello Roopashree. I went through a cervical spine surgery way back in 2017 and I do have stiffness and axial pain in my upper shoulder and in my left hand. Can I do the Suryaassan? I will appreciate if you can help me. Regards,  Sanjay

Thanks Dr. Nidhi for your quick answer . Actually I am suffering from this pain (on and off) since 2 years . Initially it was muscle spasam I was completely alright for 7-8 months but may be due to my International travelling job i got pain again. Now since 2-3 months doing physio exercises. I am having soreness felling not pain so it may by pinched nerve in the cervical area. I am working as VP in one company so very active job . Please advice further . i have severe pain in shoulder and hand. the pain stays for long though intensity varies. My MRI showed disc procession at C5 and C4 to some extent. Doctor gave me nerve root block injetion. Pain reduce for 10 days but its back. Right now I am taking lyrica 75mg at night and SoS is flexura D.. Physiotherapy also not elping me... I am 47.

I had frozen shoulder problem as told to me in my left hand and from November, 2020 to August, 2021 i consulted various reputed orthopedic surgeons and even got treatment from Safdarjang Sports Injury Centre New Delhi and as per advice got physiotherapy treatment for full one year but to no avail. Then in September, 2020 i consulted one of the top most Ortho Surgeons who after xray etc. told me that he will give me two injections(whereas he gave three such injections) and my problem will be got with physio treatment in three months but from day one his physio told him that my shoulder is very stiff and only solution is to get MRI done and then operation be done which was done in October, 2020 and I was told that after five week physio i will be ok but even after operation there was so much pain at the time of physio and afterwards that i could not have sleep for 20/22 hours and then Doctor extended time limit to two months and then to three months but even after five months there was no relief. ultimate i stopped treatment and consulted another ortho in south delhi reputed hospital he told me that my veins were weak and at the first place i stopped hard core physio and that surgery was not a best option. Though after I stopped physio and started doing light exercises at home there is slight improvement but at times i have great pain at lower of my shoulder/shoulder and upper half portion of left hand. It is one year since i have started treatment from present ortho. What to do?

Hi Doctor, Three years back I have undergone posterior cervical surgery for c2 to c5 . I am facing lot of stiffness heavy ness and numbness on left shoulder until palm and also backside.I am regularly taking prescribed medicines( trigabantin300mg and leofin 20 mg ) two times a day.It is always painful.
