Ma'm I am diabetic for the last 10 years. I regularly take Ryzodec insulin twice (26 units in the morning before breakfast and 14 units in the night before dinner). I also consume high power medicines on a regular basis. For a remedy, I go for morning walk of 40-50 minutes which also consists of mild jogging and running. I stay away from deep fried food/snacks, any kind of snacks. I drink tea without milk and sugar. My morning starts with drinking Chirata( twice a week) and Karela Jamun Juice (Regularly). But even after following this routine on a daily basis my sugar level doesnot come to a satisfactory level; it always stays high and my HbA1C is 9.6. Kindly guide me what to do?

Ans: Hello Avik.. I understand that it’s very disappointing that even after following everything, HbA1c is not controlled.. I suggest you to go for AGM ( ambulatory glucose monitoring) and take proper dose of insulin and other medications.. if you are obese or overweight, weight reduction will help.. Consistency and discipline will help you to achieve better sugar control goals. Thank you.. I will be happy to help you.

Hi Sir, In 5 year I need 30 lakhs corpus, for the same I am investing 30000 per month as follows: 5000 in Nippon large Cap direct growth, 5000 in Nippon India small cap; 5000 in Parag parikh Flexi cap; 5000 in HDFC Transportation and logistics fund; 5000 in Amazon, 1000: Google; 5000 Vanguard S&P 500. Do I have right selections or need to rectify/add/change values or Funds? Also I am using INDMoney for same, any comment on the same?
Ans: Your proactive approach towards building a corpus for your future goals is commendable. Let's delve into your investment strategy.

You've chosen a mix of funds spanning various sectors and geographies, which is akin to cultivating a diverse garden. While each plant has its unique value, it's essential to ensure they collectively thrive. The global exposure with Amazon, Google, and Vanguard S&P 500 can offer growth opportunities, while domestic funds can provide stability.

However, having a human touch in your investment journey can make a world of difference. Digital platforms, though convenient, lack the warmth and emotional support that an AMFI certified Mutual Fund Distributor (MFD) can offer. They can guide you through market fluctuations, aligning your investments with your goals and risk profile. This personalized approach ensures that your financial journey isn't just about numbers but also about understanding and empathy.

In summary, while your fund selection is diverse, consider partnering with an MFD to enrich your investment experience.

Ans: It's commendable to see your commitment towards building a substantial corpus for your retirement. Your diversified portfolio showcases a mix of large-cap, mid-cap, and hybrid funds, which is a good strategy for long-term growth. However, there are a few considerations to ponder.

Firstly, while diversification is key, it's also essential to ensure that you're not over-diversifying, which could potentially dilute your returns. Assess the overlapping sectors and stocks across your funds to avoid redundancy.

Secondly, given your investment horizon and age, it might be beneficial to gradually shift towards more conservative options as you approach retirement. Rebalancing your portfolio periodically can help align it with your changing risk appetite and goals.

Lastly, consider evaluating the performance of your funds against their benchmarks and peer group regularly. Remember, investing is not just about choosing the right funds but also about monitoring and tweaking your portfolio when necessary.

Stay committed to your financial journey, and remember, it's the discipline and patience that often lead to fruitful outcomes in investing.

This is regarding enhanced pension EPS 95 by EPFO .I am a private sector employee and worked in 3 organizations including current organization. Applied online for enhanced pension through joint option form of EPFO. My first and current organization has approved this joint option form for service rendered in those companies. My second organization is closed and under liquidation. Approval of service of this closed organizations is not happening. I have requested in writing to Liquidator, EPFO also. Lot of grievances on different portal including PG portal were lodged but it is of no use though EPFO has instructed to liquidator to approve but no action and response by them. What is the option for me and solution for this issue. What should be my action for getting it approved. What are the provisions in rule . I have all the service related document of this closed organization. last date for approval by all employer is 31st December. Please guide. Regards Ravindra Pateria
Ans: Dear Ravindra Pateria,

I understand your concern and the urgency you feel regarding the approval of your enhanced pension under EPS 95 by EPFO. It's frustrating when bureaucratic processes become hurdles in securing what's rightfully yours.

Given that you've already taken steps by lodging grievances and reaching out to both EPFO and the liquidator, it might be helpful to escalate the issue further. You could consider writing a formal letter to EPFO, highlighting the urgency and attaching all the necessary documents as proof of your service with the closed organization.

Additionally, you might want to consult with a legal advisor or approach a local EPFO office directly. They might be able to provide guidance on the specific provisions and rules that govern such cases and suggest alternative ways to expedite the approval process.

Remember, persistence often pays off in such situations. Keep all your communications documented and follow up regularly. Wishing you the best in resolving this issue promptly.

Good morning sir,I had two sons one son age is 26 he invest sip 3000 monthly who working software professional, his net salary 26000/his retirement age 55,I like 1lakh pension at the time, another my age is 63 I invest sip 9000 monthly already 4lakhs in my sip at the age of 70 what amount I get,my wife is govt employe her net salary 95000/she purchase gold this gold investment is good or suggest good one, please answer this
Ans: Good morning!

It's wonderful to hear that both you and your son are taking steps towards securing your financial futures. Let's break down each of your situations:

For your son, starting SIPs at a young age is a smart move. With his current investments and assuming a modest annual return, he has the potential to accumulate a significant corpus by his retirement at age 55. However, to achieve a pension of 1 lakh per month, he might need to increase his investments or diversify into other financial instruments.

As for you, with 4 lakhs already invested and an additional 7 years of SIPs, your corpus at age 70 will depend on the rate of return. It's essential to ensure that your investments align with your risk tolerance and financial goals for retirement.

Regarding your wife's investment in gold, while gold has traditionally been seen as a safe-haven asset, it's essential to diversify investments. Consider exploring other options like mutual funds, fixed deposits, or government savings schemes for a balanced portfolio.

Remember, financial planning is not a one-size-fits-all approach. It might be beneficial to consult a financial advisor who can provide personalized advice based on your individual circumstances. This journey towards financial well-being is a marathon, not a sprint, and every step taken today brings you closer to your goals.
