Maam , i feel i am in severe depression. Unable to remain happy

Ans: Dear Anonymous,
Not being able to feel happy does not mean that you are in severe depression. If you have been feeling down and out and fatigue over a period of 2 weeks-4 months, kindly visit a doctor who will be able to make a correct diagnosis.
On your part,
1. please identify when was the last time you felt light and happier. What happened after that for you to feel unhappy even now?
This will help you identify the situation that has led you to this place. The doctor will also ask you the same questions; so you can make your job easier by thinking on these lines.

2. Make sure you get out and be with Nature everyday. This is calming and soothing to the mind.

3. Hit the gym or play a sport or simply brisk walk. It regulates your emotions besides also keeping you fit.

4. Keep a tab on what you watch on the OTT platforms or what you read on social media. If it's something gory or causes you to feel low, change course to watch something lively and happier.

5. Practice the Art of Gratitude. Life can be unfair at times, but choose to look at the brighter side to feel happier.

Do these and check after a week on how you feel...Finally, Happiness is a choice that you make...So, do you want to choose it? If Yes, choose all the things that will keep you in that happy state.

All the best!
