EPF EPS Service Period Merger for Pension Maximisation - Can I combine my previous 12-year EPF and EPS contributions with my current service to maximize my pension?

I have worked without break since Nov'97 to Oct' 2009 (about 12 years) , contributed epf and eps. Resigned from this job and withdrawan accumulated epf amount, however EPS amount not withdrawn. I am in receipt of EPS certificate from EPFO . During this tenure UAN was not there. Again I have joined the same company since Nov'16 and working till date with having UAN no and contributing in EPF . On 1st Nov.'2025 , I will be attaining 58 years of age. Please guide me, how to merge my previous 12 years service period ( not having UAN no) with my present continued service period ( having UAN no), so that maximaize my pension amount. Please advise.

My old Pf account without UAN no i am drawing the reduced pension from 2013 onwards at t age of 50 years n then I have joined t organization in t year 2010 in this new PF no n UAN no is available my pension contribution is available my service is totally 9 years 6 month how to draw t pension contribution in full r merge t amt to t old PF no without UAN no plz guide

Ans: It is advisable to merge your both PF accounts. In fact you should have continued with your old PF account, even in new employment. This would have increased your pension admissibility. Visit your concerned PF Office & work out the best option, possible at this stage.

I have worked from 1990 to 2000 and having pf deducted (at that time eps pension 1995) . But after that i have worked in 6 -7 limited companies for period 5years ,3years ,1year and in some 3to 1 years (from 2000 to 2015). But in these jobs i have withdrawn my pf as at that time no UAN concept. Now how i will get the eps pension ( at present my age is 56) Pls guide....

Have you worked for a continuous span of 10 years or more without any break after 1995, please confirm?

Hi Milind, My age is 41. I worked at my first job from September 2005 till December 2010 and withdrew the EPF and EPS after 3 years of exiting from that job. This EPF account wasn't linked to any UAN. I then worked from December 2010 till August 2013 at second job but there was no EPF facility there. I am working at my third job since August 2013. I checked on PF portal, service history only shows tenure of third job, the EPF account is linked to a UAN. How do I get the service history of earlier jobs added to my UAN so that pension is calculated correctly at the time of retirement? I checked with my accounts department in current company, they said you withdrew in first job and second job no contribution, so service history of those 2 jobs cannot be added to my UAN, is this true? What can I do about this now?

Ans: Hello;

The feedback given by your current employer is absolutely correct.

You have withdrawn EPF & EPS from earlier job and then worked in an organisation where EPF was not applicable so no way that period can be put on service record for EPS purpose.

There is nothing you can do about it.

Ans: you are in duress. a relationship as defined by you is not worth being in one. please break off, block him from all our touchpoints - social media/ phone etc...if need be change your phone number. heal yourself, focus on your self, become financially independent, feel good about yourself before you find your person.

Sorry to hear that you failed in CBSE board examination. Failing your CBSE board exams means you won't be eligible for JoSAA counseling. You can consider appearing for the CBSE improvement/compartment exam to improve your marks and meet the eligibility criteria for future JoSAA counseling. You can appear 12th via open board but again you have fulfill the eligibility criteria of min 75% for JoSSA counseling. Best of luck for your bright future.

With this percentile and OC, you have a chance to get admission to NIT but surely you can get admission to IIITs. Instead of thinking about pan India colleges, you have a chance to get admission to your nearest IIIT. Locate it and take the admission. Best of luck to you,
