Question: I want to start investing in MF through SIPs, monthly investment would be 1500-2000. My goal is to invest for 10-15 years from now. And keep the amount invested for another 10 years, to use the compounding power.

Can you suggest me few mutual funds? Please note: my basic idea was to invest 1000 in a reputed/large cap fund and 500 in another fund (Growth). Please suggest.

Have read your questions and answers section and I like the same. Till now, have not invested in MF except Rs 1 lakh in Edelweiss share market. Am planning to move my FD to MF. Kindly request you to suggest some funds where I can start a SIP and invest upto Rs 2 lakhs in lumpsum. Age: 48 years Total amount to invest per month: Rs 25,000. Planning for invest upto: 58 years (10 years). Request you to suggest the best option of mutual fund for SIP of Rs 25,000 per month and one time lump sum of Rs 2,00,000.

Hi Sir, My take home salary is 90K with no debts and NO EMI's, I am new to MF-SIP, my age is 41 now. I can invest upto 10,000 to 20000 per month, considering a investment period of 12 to 15 years, kindly suggest MFs which can give a returns of around 20 to 25 % , kindly suggest further.

Ans: there is a nice option in case if you are a director in any company, where in whatever you will invest on per annum basis, same amount would be received back by you from 12 th year onwards till next 30 years.
Eg. If you invest 1 lac for say 10 years, so from 11th year end, you will start receiving 1 lac for next 30 years and at the end of 30 years, you will receive back your investment. You can add nominee in this process too.
Risk cover is 10 times of your yly investment.

the above option may best suit you looking at your profile.

If you are salaried person, and if you can spare 20 k, HDFC Micro Fund may be the nice option from available option in my opinion. As a thumb rule, please pull out your investment every 5 years and change the form, from MF to property or gold and keep continue to invest in MF as well.

Ans: Why Philippines is a Better Option (for Indian Students):
1. English-speaking country –
o The entire medical course is in English.
o No need to learn any local language like Russian or Kazakh.
2. Similar disease pattern to India –
o Students get to study and practice on patients with diseases common in India (like dengue, diabetes, TB etc).
o This helps later during FMGE/Next exams in India.
3. Good quality teaching –
o Most colleges follow the US system, focus on clinical training, and use modern equipment.
4. No freezing climate –
o Weather is like South India – warm and humid, so your child will feel more comfortable.
o Easier to adjust than in countries with minus temperatures.
5. Medium FMGE result –
o Philippines students usually have better FMGE (MCI screening test) pass rates than Kyrgyzstan or Kazakhstan.

Points to Keep in Mind:
• Philippines has a pre-med + MD structure (usually 1.5 yrs + 4 yrs = total 5.5 yrs).

Ans: About BITS Dubai:
• BITS Dubai is part of the BITS Pilani group — the degree is the same as what students get in BITS Pilani India.
• The campus is in Dubai, and the system follows the same pattern as BITS India — good academics, flexible curriculum, and focus on projects.
• They don’t ask for JEE — admission is based only on 12th board marks (usually above 75–80%).
• It’s a very good backup option if JEE results don’t go well.
• Classes, labs, and faculty are good. Students get international exposure.
• Many students go for higher studies abroad after graduating from there — like MS in USA or Canada.
• Safe and friendly campus — a lot of Indian students.
Things You Should Consider:
• Fees are high — around ?10–12 lakhs per year, including living costs.
• Placement support is there, but not as strong as BITS Pilani India, especially for jobs in India.

1. B.Tech CSE Core at SRM Kattankulathur
2. BCA at VIT Vellore
B.Tech CSE at SRM KTR
• 4-year course with strong technical base
• Recognized everywhere — good for both jobs and MS abroad
• Has subjects like coding, networks, OS, and cybersecurity basics
• Easier to get internships and placement offers
• If you study well and do some extra projects, ?7–12 LPA is definitely possible in 4th year
BCA at VIT Vellore
• 3-year course, lighter than B.Tech
• You can still go abroad for MS, but you may need to do extra studies (like MCA or a diploma later)
• Jobs after BCA are less in number and lower in salary (?3–5 LPA avg)
• You’ll need to work much harder to reach cybersecurity roles
Recommended - Go for B.Tech CSE at SRM KTR
• It gives you more chances for good jobs, internships, and a strong base for cybersecurity
• Easier to explain your background when applying abroad for MS
• Companies prefer B.Tech for core tech roles
Even if you're average now, B.Tech gives you time and structure to grow. Start small, build skills step by step.

Is it easy to get a job abroad after studying btech fashion technology in vit chennai?

Ans: B.Tech Fashion Technology from VIT Chennai
• It’s a good course, and VIT has a decent name.
• The program teaches a mix of fashion design, technology, textiles, and production management.
• Good for students who like creativity along with technical and practical work.
It is not easy to get a job abroad directly after just completing B.Tech Fashion Tech from VIT or any college in India.
But it is also not impossible.
1. Most foreign countries hire only through work permits or after higher studies (like Master’s in fashion or textile design abroad).
2. Fashion jobs abroad are very competitive, and they prefer local graduates or those with international experience.
3. After B.Tech from India, you usually need to either do a Master's abroad or build a strong portfolio/internship record.

What Can Be Done for Better Chances Abroad?
• Do internships in top fashion companies in India.
• Build a strong portfolio (projects, designs, innovations).
• Learn fashion software (CAD, CLO3D, Adobe Illustrator).

513 in2025 is possible for government quota

Ans: It depends on three main things:
1. Your state (because state quota cutoffs are different)
2. Your category (General, OBC, SC, ST, etc.)
3. Whether you are looking for State Quota (85%) or All India Quota (15%)
For General Category:
• In most states, 513 is borderline or just below cutoff for government MBBS.
• You may get a seat in lower-ranked government colleges in some states like:
o Rajasthan (rural), UP, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Assam, West Bengal
• In highly competitive states like Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, 513 is not enough for a government seat in general category.
For OBC/EWS category:
• You may have better chances in some states — 513 could get you a seat in mid- or lower-tier government colleges.
For SC/ST category:
• Yes, 513 is a good score, and you have a high chance of getting a government MBBS seat in many states.

Ans: Congratulations to your daughter on getting a good rank — 7371 in MET is a decent position.
• CSE at Manipal Bangalore campus — this is already a good seat. CSE has strong scope everywhere.
• Bangalore campus is growing, and being in the IT hub helps with internships and job exposure.
• ECE at Manipal Main Campus — possible in the next rounds with your rank.
• But CSE at Manipal Main Campus may not be likely at 7371 — last year it closed much earlier (within 3,000–4,000).
Which Is Better?
If your daughter is more interested in coding, software, or IT jobs –
Then CSE at Bangalore campus is better, even though it’s not the main campus.
CSE will give her better placement options and higher salary packages than ECE in most cases.
If she is okay with core electronics, circuits, and is not very keen on coding –
Then ECE at Manipal Main Campus is still a strong option — especially since main campus has more companies, bigger brand, and older reputation.

My daughter has a 19505 rank in Manipal entrance exam. wants to join ECE VLSI program. Can she expect in main or Bengaluru campus in 2nd or 3rd rounds. She has a CSE seat offer in GITAM Hyderabad as a standby option. what would you recommend sir

Ans: • With 19505 rank, it may be difficult to get ECE (VLSI) in main campus in Round 1 or 2.
• But in Round 3 or Spot round, ECE or ECE-VLSI in Bengaluru campus is possible.
(Bengaluru campus has slightly lower cutoff than the main campus.)
• Manipal keeps moving a lot in later rounds, especially if some students drop seats.
So yes, ask her to wait till Round 3 or Spot Round — there is a good chance she can get ECE or ECE-VLSI at least in Bengaluru campus.
Her Backup: CSE at GITAM Hyderabad
• GITAM is an okay college. Hyderabad campus is newer and not very strong in placements yet.
• CSE is a good branch, but GITAM’s tech exposure and placement record is average compared to Manipal.
What I Recommend:
1. Hold the CSE seat at GITAM Hyderabad only as a backup.
2. Wait for Manipal counselling rounds to progress till at least Round 3 or Spot Round.
3. If she gets ECE-VLSI in Manipal Bengaluru, go for it — much better brand, better placements, and stronger academic environment than GITAM.

Sir I am a little bit puzzled I passed my boards with 79,8%, my jee exam didn't go well and I am not getting any good private or government college from It. Earlier I was thinking of taking a drop but currently I am 18 and turn 19 this year, so next year when I will be at first year of college I will turn 20 year old so It will delay my graduation for sure. Second option is to take admission in any tier 3 college. I have following options with me (1) SRM sonepat,Haryana(Btech cse aiml) (2) Manav rachna University, Faridabad (Btech cse aiml/data science) (3) NIET, Greater noida (Btech cse computing and mathematics) Which college is best among 3? If I join in any tier 3 I will develop skills and target postgraduate level exam. So sir what should I do In this situation take a drop or join college?

Ans: Hello, I understand this is a confusing time for you, but don’t worry. Many students go through the same phase after 12th.

Taking a drop is an option. But here are the real things you must ask yourself:
• Are you fully confident that you can study with full focus and improve your JEE score next year?
• Are you okay with another year of pressure, studying at home, and no college life till 2026?
• Are you ready to handle the stress and competition?
If the answer is no or not sure, then don’t take a drop.
Because one year of drop will only be worth it if you get a top college like NIT, IIIT, or BITS.
Otherwise, you’ll just lose one year and land in a similar college again.
And don’t worry about age. Turning 20 in 1st year is completely fine. Many students start college at 20 or even later

About Your Current College Options
NIET Greater Noida
• Best out of the three in terms of placement, coding culture, and peer group.
• It is in Noida — good location for internships and off-campus opportunities.
• Has a better track record in CSE-related jobs.
SRM Sonepat
• Decent brand name because of “SRM,” but Sonepat campus is not as strong as the main Chennai one.
• Placements are limited.
• Choose only if you want the SRM tag and nothing else is available.
Manav Rachna
• Okay college, good infrastructure, but placements are not very strong, especially for CSE core jobs.
• Good for students who want to stay closer to home or need a relaxed environment.

Ans: JIIT Noida (IT – Main Campus)
• Private, well-maintained campus, good discipline, better crowd.
• Strong focus on CSE/IT branches.
• Placements are more consistent for IT/CSE – companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, some product companies too.
• Faculty and teaching quality is generally good.
• Best among the three if you can afford the fees.
JSS Noida (IT)
• Good reputation in the AKTU (UPTU) group of colleges.
• Campus is good, teaching is decent.
• Many Noida-based companies hire from here, so location is an advantage.
• Slightly crowded and academic pressure is high, but placements are fairly decent for IT/CSE.
• Second best option, good value for money.
KIET Ghaziabad (IT)
• Also part of AKTU, well-known in the Ghaziabad area.
• Campus and infrastructure are good.
• Placement is okay, but slightly behind JSS and JIIT when it comes to IT roles.
• Many service-based companies come, but fewer product or core tech companies.
• Decent choice, but below JIIT and JSS in IT.
