I have psorasis from last six years. i have used allopathy unani medicence. presently iam using aurvedic medicence from 3 months slight improvement is there. i have black spots on hands and legs. how to remove these black spots and kindly suggest complete cure.

Ans: Since you are already under an ayurvedic treatment, they will be taking care of it wholistically. I suggest you follow their instructions completely, including diet recommendations / timings etc. and they should be able to cure the problem.

Hi SirI have been suffering from psoriasis (a skin disease that causes red, itchy scaly patches, most commonly on the knees, elbows, trunk and scalp) for the last 20 years.I have tried various medications -- homeopathy, allopathy and Ayurveda -- but none have worked.Can you please suggest an effective medication please?Name withheld on request.

Hi.

Psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder of the skin where you get thick patches and plaques of skin, usually symmetrically and many times itchy.

Normally, even if you get relief with medication, the patches reoccur.

Of late, biologic therapy has shown promise but it sometimes has undesirable side effects.

We treat psoriasis with a combination of autologous cells and laser, which reduces the lesions significantly.

I would suggest that you follow up with your dermatologist and get regular guidance to treat your psoriasis.

These recommendations below will help:

Shift to a Mediterranean diet.
Yoga, meditation and regular exercise will help.
Keep your skin moist always by using Vaseline or a good moisturiser.
Take oral multivitamin and an antioxidant supplement.
Stress should be reduced to a minimum.

Ans: Rapid exfoliation or excessive exfoliation seem to be the underlying factor. Also skin Manifestation is closely linked to your stress
So address the body and mind
Have a balanced nutrition and consult a Constituitional dietitician to formulate a diet.
Hydrate well. Use the appropriate pH balancing Liquid soap

I am 48 yrs old male. 5.5 feet height, 63 kgs weight, non smoker and non drinker. Healthy life habits,not taking any medicine. Since last 6 months, have small vertical black stripe of 2mm on my right hand - middle of index finger nail and thumb nail. No pain. Even after cutting the nails, new nails growing has this stripe. Pls advise

Ans: Check your digestive system for symptoms of indigestion like, bloated feeling, burning sensation and irregular bowel habits
This black lines could be some malabsorption happening leading to nutritional deficiencies
You could have seasonal fruits with breakfast meal and salads with lunch meal.
Daily have Papaya in the mid day time and a banana in the mid afternoon time

Hi Sir, My son studied IGCSE and completed 10th standard. He is pursuing commerce stream. After 12th standard, we are looking for BBA or integrated MBA through IPMAT. My question is should i continue Cambridge A&AS Level or shift him to ICE or it fo not matter much. He is good in studies. Kindly advise.

Stay with Cambridge A & AS Level, but ensure he takes Mathematics. Focus on IPMAT entrance preparation alongside board studies. If needed, he can take additional practice from NCERT books for better alignment with IPMAT.

Congratulations on planning to get admission to IISC for your son. Admission is highly competitive, so early preparation will be beneficial. Here are some tips: (1) Strong Focus on the Core subject of Mathematics (2) Learn Python and SQL programming skills (3) Participate in Mathematics Olympiads (RMO, INMO) (4) Join a Coaching Program to learn ISI-specific training (like PiVerb, Cheenta). (5) Encourage solving puzzles and logic games (Sudoku, Chess, Codeforces). (6) In class 10- Build strong basics in ICSE Math, start Olympiad-level problems (7) In class 11 - Solve tough problems, focus on Calculus & Algebra, and start Python (8) In class 12 - take mock tests, solve past ISI papers, revise Probability.

Hi sir, My OBC Certificate issued in 2021. Can I use this in neet 2025 application form for uploading documents? Please explain sir

Ans: Hi, OBC certificate is very old. The validity of the caste certificate is one year. You may use the same certificate for application purposes, but you must have a valid one, including the creamy layer and Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) status, at the time of admission. Your admission will be based on this. Therefore, it is advisable to obtain a new certificate.
Better apply for same and get it ASAP.
