Nutritional differences between tofu vs paneer. quite commonly heard is that if you want to go for weight loss, then tofu being a low fat option is best for you. Is this how weight loss diets are designed?

Ans: Every source of protein is somewhat different from other sources. The key is balanced approach. Even if one eat paneer and it has fat, we need fat also in the diet.
Then, the taste is also a factor.

Weight loss diets are designed as per health need of the person. There are very low calories Diet (VLCD) to a range of diets such as intermittent fasting.

Consult a physician and a qualified dietitian to discuss specifics.

I'm 45year old my height is 165cn weight is 85 daily Iam taking empty stomach kalonji seeds, methi seeds, jeera seeds, along with warm water with honey and lemon, nothing changes occurred, please suggest is this helps to reduce weight loss, should I continue this or try others,

Ans: Seeing your Weight and height, your BMI falls in obese category. Your acceptable weight should be around 65 kg.
The weight loss goal should be realistic. To reduce 20kg,set a target of monthly 2kg weight loss. To reduce weight, the calories intake should be less than the calories expended
Consult a dietitian who can draw a diet with the calories calculated for your ideal weight. Also gradually increase your physical activity like walks etc.
Weight losing needs will power to meet the target with each goal.

For the purpose of weight loss iuse to have two palak dosa in the morning , Millet rice for lunch and two moong dosa for dinner apart from that i am daily doing regular excercise for about one hour, still weight is not reducing. please advise me.

At the outset, It’s important that you focus on feeling healthy, the weight and inch loss will happen. Eat healthy and do not deprive the body of vital nutrition. Drink plenty of hot water mixed with ginger and honey. This will help burn fat and also keep infections away. Practice Pranayama under the guidance if a qualified instructor. Walk at least 4 kilometres daily. Keep the mind calm by meditation at least for 20 minutes a day. The exercise that you have been doing will suddenly bring results, so keep it up. Give enough rest to both your mind and body and in due course of time, everything will happen. All the best.

IS EATING SAMOSA , KACHORI , CHOWMEAN NOODLES GOOD FOR DIABETIC PATIENTS ???

Ans: Foods like samosas, kachoris, and chow mein noodles are generally not recommended for diabetic patients due to their high carbohydrate and fat content. For a diabetic-friendly diet, it’s better to opt for foods that are low in refined carbs and unhealthy fats. Choose whole grains like quinoa, brown rice, or whole wheat pasta and vegetable-based noodles such as zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash. Baked or grilled snacks instead of fried ones are also better to consume.

Ans: She has a good chance of getting a seat in NIT Sikkim, but mainly in lower branches (like Civil/Mechanical/Electrical), not CSE/ECE. Please verify the BOSSE document/eligibility acceptance carefully during counselling.

Ans: Chances with Mechanical are almost nil/dim. Lower/newer NITs may be possible in lower-demand branches, depending on category/home state, so stronger realistic options are state colleges, GFTIs, private colleges, or CSAB opportunities

Ans: Your son has realistic CSE/related options with newer/lower-cutoff NITs only in less-demanded branches, but much stronger chances in good IIITs and reputable private colleges. So prioritize IIIT CSE/IT over lower NIT non-CS branches if CSE is the fixed goal.

My Daughter details:- 98.22 Percentile. Category: General Female. Rank: 28,268. Can she get CSE/ECE in Tier 1 NITs.

Ans: Chances with top-tier 1 NITs are almost dim/nil. But she can target strong newer/mid NITs for ECE and several good IIITs for CSE/ECE, with a female quota for sure-shot admission/success.

Considering CRL of 33000 for my daughter in General category, what are the possibilities of core branches particularly Electrical and Mechanical in NIT like Calicut, Nagpur (home state) and Rourkela? Also which NIT she can aspire for if she opts for Chemical. Will IIIT-Nagpur be a good choice if she plans CSE/ECE.

Ans: Electrical/ECE/Mechanical in top NITs like Calicut, Rourkela, and VNIT Nagpur are NOT possible. Mechanical/Chemical or lower branches in mid/lower NITs are possible. Prefer NIT (Chemical/Mechanical in decent NITs) over IIIT Nagpur unless your daughter is strictly CS-focused.

However, as per the eligibility criteria for JEE Mains, a minimum of 75% is required. Ans: Yes. Appearing for the improvement exam is a worthwhile option if you can realistically raise your aggregate to 75%+, because improved marks are generally considered for JEE/JoSAA eligibility. But take care that during this exercise, you do not lose a year due to a delay in the results. Make a wise decision after considering all angles. You did not mention the score of the JEE examination in your question. Hence, it is not possible to guide you to the point.

Sir , My daughter got 98.17 percentile and 30600 rank in JEE mains . She is the general category student . We live in Noida . She did her 12th from Delhi School . What are her chances in getting CSE or E&C in any good NIT or IIIT based on all the above said inputs . Will we get the seat in these branches in NIT or IIIT . If not please suggest any good GFTI also . We are planning to fill JAC Delhi counselling also . Apart from this should we go for any other counselling or keep any Private institute as a back up option . Please advise .

Ans: She has chances in ECE and in lower-cutoff CSE at newer NITs/IIITs, along with very good IIIT options. She should definitely pursue JoSAA + JAC Delhi + state/private backups (e.g., LNMIIT/Thapar/Jaypee if available), as top NIT CSE is unlikely, but quality NIT/IIIT/GFTI outcomes are very achievable.

Sir i passed from hsc board in 2025 with less than 75% so i have improvement in 2026 this year but still i couldn't clear the 75% criteria and the nios exam will be held in june ending or july this year so the result will come at 10 sep at earliest so can i still somehow sit for jossa counseling for mains and advanced ?

Ans: No. For JoSAA/JEE Advanced admission, you must satisfy the Class 12 eligibility/document requirements by the counselling deadline, so if your NIOS improvement result comes only in September, it normally will be too late for that admission cycle.
Try with any private colleges/universities to save one year.
