My name is Ram Kumar. I am 60+ year old. I am a computer operator. I have suffering from tail bone (just above anus) pain after seating two hours or driving bike. Please suggest what to do.

Ans: You could try using a ring cushion to sit on.
Also sit in a tub of hot water twice a day to apply heat to the region

I have lower back pain and Tail Bone pain which hurts a lot while sitting. Can u suggest something. I have been doing stretching exercises which helps in lower back pain but the Tail Bone pain is still there. Kindly help..

Ans: Hello Manish,
The tailbone pain needs to be checked by an orthopedic or physiotherapist. At times the tail bone called as sacrum can go out of alignment and it needs to be mobilised back into place.
X-ray also is important to do to know the bony changes if any.
Only when exact diagnosis made can the tail bone pain be corrected.

I am computer operator in school. I am 60+ year old. Pain in tail bone (up of anus) after seating for 1 or more hours. Also in case of driving bike for 15 kms or more. Please suggest what to do?

Ans: Hi Ram,
This is very common. You’ll have to learn to sit on your buttocks fat and not slouch and sit on the tail bone. Once your posture is corrected then the pain will take two weeks to go
