I feel a sudden 'click' or 'pop' in my knee when climbing stairs. It also happens when I get up after sitting for a long time. I hear a click or feel a popping sensation in my knee. There's no major pain, but it does feel uncomfortable and gets worse after long walks. What does this mean? I am 27

Your right knee ligament broke and now you are getting pain on the front part of your right knee or left knee? You have written left knee.
If it is happening in the opposite knee then it could be due to that knee taking more strain. That usually happens post an injury. Even though we strengthen the muscles subconsciously our other knee tends to take more strain. Please check it out with a physiotherapist. They may need to release some muscles of the left knee and you should get better.
If your right knee is paining then better to do an x-ray and MRI of the right knee to check for the ligament and other soft tissue condition.
