My dad has a brain stroke last year just 15 days after a minor ischemic heart attack. Heart recovery is still on the way but after the brain stroke his ability to walk is a bit affected as he feel problem in balancing and a little dizzy while walking. We consulted a doctor but they said it is a time taking process. So is there any certain types of exercises or yoga practices which if practised on a daily basis can help him in brain recovery and cell regeneration process .

Ans: Hello Anonymous,
Yes a physiotherapist can come for few sessions and teach him certain exercises after evaluating him as each person's issues after a brain stroke are different so the treatment has to be customised. Certain basic range of motion and balance exercises should help him.
A yoga teacher can teach him simple pranayamas which do help to improve the oxygenation to the brain and hence the entire body.
Also it is a good idea to consult a nutritionist once who can add some healthy options like nuts, seeds, vegetable juices, turmeric etc which can help rejuvenate the brain cells.
All the best!

My daughter got BTech-IT in VIT vellore (cat-3) and MTech integrated CSE Software engg in VIT Vellore (cat-5). Total Fee wise both are almost same. Which one to choose?
Ans: VIT Vellore offers strong placement outcomes for both BTech-IT (Category 3) and Integrated MTech CSE Software Engineering (Category 5), with the 2024 placement season seeing 7,526 students placed by 867 recruiters, including Microsoft, Amazon, and PayPal, and average packages nearing INR 10 LPA. The BTech-IT program provides a traditional four-year curriculum with broad industry acceptance and more companies recruiting for BTech roles, making it ideal for students seeking immediate job opportunities after graduation. The Integrated MTech CSE is a five-year program with a specialized focus on software engineering, offering advanced coursework and saving a year compared to doing BTech and MTech separately; it is best suited for those with clear research or academic interests or those targeting higher-level roles or further studies. However, some companies show a preference for BTech graduates, and placement opportunities for Integrated MTech students can be slightly narrower, though top roles in data science, full-stack development, and related fields remain accessible. Since total fees are nearly equal, the decision should hinge on your daughter's career goals: if she wants maximum placement flexibility and the option to enter the workforce after four years, BTech-IT is preferable; if she is interested in deeper specialization, research, or higher studies, the Integrated MTech CSE is a strong choice. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
