MY AGR 67 MY HbA1c is 6.9 which is 3 month back is 7.9 , by diet control can I reduce it to 6.4. what food i have to avoid for this purpose

Ans: Effective diet control for diabetes will include complex carbohydrates such as brown rice, whole wheat, quinoa, oatmeal, fruits, vegetables, beans, and dals. Foods to avoid include simple carbohydrates, which are processed, such as sugar, pasta, white bread, flour, and cookies, pastries, and namkeens. Starchy or root vegetables should be eaten in moderation along with other fiber rich veggies. Have salads with each meal to balance sugar levels. High glycemic index foods should be restricted. These foods raise sugar levels very quickly.
