Help! I've lost weight after dietary changes for my digestion issues. Should I be worried?

Hi Mam, I am 39yr old. 5.65 feet tall. Always a lean guy, from my childhood. I am an active person. Plays cricket regularly. I have been suffering with digestion issues for about 20yrs. Got treated for IBS 10yrs back. Other doctor told me, I have excessive bile secretion. But nothing worked. Stopped medications. Always felt bloated. My weight was maintained from 58kgs to 56kgs. Felt I was developing a belly without gaining weight. Felt something was wrong. So two months back, I stopped having dairy foods except buttermilk and ghee. No coffee or tea. Reduced the intake of sugar and processed food too. Now, i feel lot more lighter, healthier and feeling more hungrier. But my weight is reduced to 54kgs. Is it a concern? Should I worry abt it? What shud I do to arrest my further loss of weight?? Thank u

Ans: Hello anonymous,
Glad you are feeling better. At times stopping gluten, dairy and sugar can really help.
It is not so much about the weight. Are you overall feeling any weakness? Or are you feeling more energetic? You should all your blood reports done to see if all parameters are okay. Also get your body composition done on a machine available at some gyms and physiotherapy clinics and see if your fat/muscle percentage is ok.
Also it would be good for you to once consult a good nutritionist to receive a customized nutrition according to your body type and lifestyle.

I'm 41 years old. I work from a 10 to 8 job in IT. I have good appetite. for the last 2 years I have been suffering from food digestion issue, gastric issues, and constipation. I consulted family doctor - who asked me to get endoscopy and colonoscopy done. All results were fine and nothing abnormal was reported. Got Liver test also done - and results were fine (however it came as non-alcoholic fatty liver). I burp a lot after every meal and puke some amount of food after every meal as well due to excess burping. I have stopped taking milk products also since 2 yrs. Some days im fine, some days its troublesome. Currently taking Pathanjali UDRAMRIT VATI daily 2 times. I see some good improvement (burping has reduced quite a bit as well as digestion feels better) - puking has reduced to just a few times here and there and not very regular. I have stopped eating non-veg food since 3 months now (earlier used to eat once a week). Any suggestion is appreciated doctor. Thanks

Ans: Early dinner before 7 pm preferably by 6/6.30 pm and eat Simple protein, avoid any kind of animal protein, no oily food and have complex carb
Stick to just one millet and avoid Multigrain concept

Hi, I amm 46 year old male , my problem is my diet has been reduced to 25% in last two years . Even if i feel hungry ,my stomach fill with very less ffood intake, I could not eat any more even if I am intented to do so. I have BP since 2 years and suffering ffrom dipression since 20 years. Now suggest me what to do tto improve my diet ?

Ans: Create a routine for 1 hr or any physical activity of your choice - avoid closed door hard core workouts rather do activities that allow you to spend time outdoors, get exposure to sun (morning/ evening), gardening etc. Also before sleeping try 10 minutes of Om chanting of silent meditation focusing on your breathing. Practice acceptance and gratitude, make peace with any past conflicts.

I am 43 yrars old. My weight has reduced from 66 to 60 kgs i from the last 4 months. My direct bilrubbin was 0.64 and TBILL was 1.53 in May2024. . I completely stopped taking mutton and broiler chicken. I also avoid sugar and consume less rice than before. Is it normal to reduce weight.

Ans: I am not clear whether you lost weight without anything or you made an effort to reduce weight.
Are their other associated symptoms? Do you have any pre-existing health issues? What is your height?
If you answer these questions, i would be in better situation to respond.

Also, it might be beneficial to consult a physician for in-person or online advice.

Hello sir this is Nishat , I passed my 12th in the year 2023 with a good percentage but however I couldn’t see it for chemistry exam. So obviously I failed in that subject so I decided to again reappear for that exam and in 2024 I gave betterment exam from my state board in the subject biology and chemistry. However I scored far better in biology than last time but (Chemistry) I don’t know maybe it’s it’s because of the issues that we have with our board. I couldn’t score good marks so even I had decided to give (Chemistry) separately and so in 2024. I again set for (Chemistry) exam under nios I and I scored 80 so now the thing is that I’ll be having two mark sheet so while applying in need I cannot possibly select the code 2 because although I already have the state board certificate but the NIOS certificate is not yet out and it will be out by end of the March sir can I possibly select the code one that is appearing or will it create problems while counselling or is there any other option please help me out sir , I’m very desperate like I have prepared for neey for the last two years and I don’t want to put my hard work into vain. Please Sir help me out

Please select code 1 without any fear. Focus more on your study. But considering your fear and anxiety with the chemistry subject, it is recommended that you choose other options than NEET. This time you appear without any fear.
